Cripps out is a major blow for them. But I agree with the sentiment of your comment. We must certainly not go into this game overly confident. But I am fully confident that our sports psychology team, and our coach, are fully on top of how to get us mentally prepared each round.MatthewBoydFanClub wrote:Patrick Cripps is no longer Carlton’s best player. Walsh is. If we think the Carlton game will be easy because Cripps is out, think again. Carlton will be playing for their season when they play us.

I was totally certain of this happening and I would have bet on it! This shit (as any long time supporter would know) just doesn’t happen to Collingwood. I’m not being paranoid but basing it on past experience. My memory is full of Phil Carman ‘77, Jason Cloke (2002) and Anthony Rocca (2003) missing grand finals and wasn’t Michael Christian let off at the tribunal before 1990?mosig wrote:Surprised, I thought for sure it would be reduced to 1 match so that he could play against the pies
For some reason 2022 seems to be going against the regular trend
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm

IF, the Bluebellies do miss the Finals, no doubt a SACK VOSS thread will rear its head on their site.

Who knows? Posters on Nick's might even stop starting threads like this: viewtopic.php?t=90448Piesnchess wrote:IF, the Bluebellies do miss the Finals, no doubt a SACK VOSS thread will rear its head on their site.

Not quite the same, but memories of 1992 when we beat them in the second last round out at VFL Park and pretty much knocked them out of the finals. The following week they had to go over to Perth to play a red hot WCE so they were never really a chance.

I understand Carlton is set to appeal the two match ban upheld at the AFL tribunal for Patrick Cripps.
The Blues will fight to free the captain once again at a hearing set for 6pm tomorrow (Thursday) night.
