Never see this happen at Geelong.

No cracks.

Degoey has signed, Grundy is gone, as is Henry if Geelong retain a first round pick.

Thankfully, the days of the Club posturing for the media at trade time before Lynch is lining up at FF are over.

If DeGoey has signed why not announce it?

You get zero value out of announcing it at the B & F. I’m sorry but I don’t share the faith that the people in charge know what they’re doing.

If they lose DeGoey it tell me everything I need to know about how serious this club is about winning premierships

How is there ‘zero value’ in announcing the signing of the most in demand free agent in the competition at our B&F after a season in which we have leapt from second last to a preliminary final???

Anyone else concerned that Brad Scott knows exactly what all our players are on contractually and possibly what the current JDG offer is?

Surely he should be prevented from starting until after trade period?!?!

Gotta be serious questions asked, considering Essendon made a play for De Goey almost immediately after Scott was appointed.

Hope Bucks gets the GM job and not that eel Bartell.

Ess get JDG, later to be found on the basis of insider trading. Essendon lose draft picks for two years setting them back another 2 decades and Collingwood receives draft compensation. Ideal outcome.

Happy to sacrifice any player for 20 years of Ess pain!

You forgot the part where Brad Scott is certified insane and carted off to an asylum after coaching Essendon for two years and the other 21 applicants for the job are breathing a sigh of relief they missed out on the job.

JDG just reported to have signed for 5 years with 2 years behavioural clauses

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/fiv ... 5bm5w.html

Collingwood midfielder Jordan De Goey will remain a Magpie after coming to terms with the club.

He has agreed to stay at Collingwood for the next five years with behavioural clauses to apply for the first two seasons of the deal.

De Goey had the full support of Collingwood coach Craig McRae and his teammates but needed to reach a deal that satisfied both the board and the player’s best interests.

More to come

Finally, compromise clearly reached and perfect timing. With free Agency opening today, we couldn't sign McStay until we signed Jordy, expect that deal to now happen quickly.
