Fiorini would be a depth player. Taking into account injuries he could become very valuable to us.
He would be in the bracket of 20-26 best player at the club at a guess and thats where you need the pressure to come from.
Hopefully wont cost much.

If Amon is worth pk27, Frampton should be worth around pick 55-65.

Bianco coming along nicely; Fiorini neither gets enough ball or has any pace to speak of.

Cannot see Fiorini demanding a spot in the team, when he can barely get a gig at the Suns.

Do not trade for; rookie list at best, sorry...
Suns are trading out a lot of players this year.

Looking at how Will Brodie and Peter Wright have come along, you gotta wonder.

They dumped Brodie and took on Constable. Not the smartest club.

So the question now is are we happy with:
Out: Grundy, Henry, 3x second or third rounders.
In: McStay, Frampton, Hill, Mitchell, pick 18 and 13 (tied to Freo)? (The picks may end up being futures).

Personally, yes. Downgrade on our best ruckman, a promising but really not there yet fwd for that lot? Very happy.

Looking at it like that, concerning. Reckon Henry will be an A grader, Grundy already is, albeit overpaid. Ins are one fading A grader, 1 b and 2 c's with potential.

Could be a masterstroke, could be a disaster. It's ballsy.

^Funny thing tho Big T, when we traded Treloar (A-Grader?) out, we got the pick we used on Henry. And now Henry wants out.

And when we traded Treload in, GWS used the pick on Hopper who now wants to play for Richmond.

I understand why Henry wants out. (Anthony Rocca did the same thing and left Swans to play alongside Sav). But geez, I'm pissed at him.

Not saying we’re getting Lockett, Carey and Voss in but we are getting players to plug gaps. I think the trades help round out the list well enough and we’re in a better position. Time will tell. This is of course assuming all of the above happens.

No they never have been, nor ever will.

Will Brodie carving it up at Freo; making centre clearances look like a stroll in the park.
If we'd seen his potential, we'd have our 16th cup in the cabinet now.

Fiorini ain't Will Brodie...

That’s a big call on a 188cm player who doesn’t leave the goal square. He’s a talent but he needs to do so much more if he’s going to be a regular in a good team … and perhaps he will. We all talk about the goals he’s kicked but never the goals he gives up because of his lack of pressure and second efforts. As Leigh Mathews says, some players have to kick three every game to hold their spot because they automatically hand two back the other way. Johnson is no workhorse either but he still took Henry’s spot and kept it.
The other way to look at it is, we got little out of both of them this year and missed out on a G F by 2 points. I accept that stands for nothing in 2023 but there’s also a history to say the system works without them.

The reason freo took him was because they had the ability to take his complete $600k salary, that’s why pick 19 was sent with Brodie to freo for a packet of chips

Fiorini got a stack more games for GC than Brodie did over the same time, Fiorini gets enough of the ball, his disposal is questionable though

Correct. If anyone bothers to check Fiorinis numbers from the first seven or eight games in 2022, they stack up as well as any decent midfielder going around. His best game numbers wise was against the Swans, so he’s not racking them against rubbish teams. He was reasonable for clearances too. He went off the boil the moment Dew replaced Fiorini with Anderson in the starting midfield group. And to be fair, theres no shame in falling in behind Rowell, Miller and Anderson either.
Mitchell and Fiorini are totally different players, so IF both were available and they could only pick one, the club would need to decide what’s more important to their needs. A thirty year old extractor or a 25 year old run and carry, metres gained type. Fiorini has more growth than Mitchell but Mitchell more likely suits the short term solutions.

I'm not convinced Fiorini is an extractor. For that reason if it's a choice between Fiorini and Mitchell I choose Mitchell despite the age difference. We already got a run and carry player last year in Lipinski. Do we want another?

Jack Graham has told Richmond he won't be seeking a trade to Port Adelaide.

Go for him Pies, would be sensational.

Melbourne dasher Jayden Hunt will sign a three-year deal to join West Coast. Interesting move for him. Flag chance to Spoon chance.
