Yes, I just think it will end up being a bit better than 27 ( which will likely be 29 on the night ) so that makes it look even less appealing.
You almost need an early twenties pick, in the knowledge that two F / S selections will have already been called out, adding + 2 spots to that pick.

Just shaking my head that we can't get a decent player + draft pick in return. Ten years ago that would have been an absolutely reasonable expectation for a trade like this, I would have thought.

The hypocrisy is what Melbourne expect for Jackson because he is a former 3 pick and premiership player. That's their reasoning for 2 1st round picks plus.
Exactly. Grundy for Jackson would itself be a fair swap, but only because Jackson is younger. Otherwise, Grundy is clearly the superior player; if they were playing together, it goes without saying that Jackson would be his second banana. So it's outrageous that they should be expecting to part with less for him than they're demanding for Jackson.
