Was a mighty run. The WFA conditions were against her, in a handicap she would have had 13kg less than the winner, instead of 2.

I should have one for Wednesday. I'm on site at the minute and only usually look at the mid weeks when I'm home.

Little bank and keep a track of your bets to see how you're going. It's easy to get carried away.

Going for redemption today at Belmont with one I think can run a place ($4) and could go close to winning at double figure odds ($18 ).

Saturn Black, #9, race 6 at Belmont.

First up from a spell, has won (and placed) when fresh previously. Was only beaten a length and a half by boom mare Karli's Karma last preparation. She's drawn a good gate (3) for a change and with in form, 2kg claiming apprentice Brandon Louis to steer, should get a good sit over the journey.

Paul Harvey, on the favourite (3/1), My Dilema, will be hard to beat coming back to this grade.

So I have a couple of dollars on to win @$18 and a handful to run the place @ $4.25.
Also done 2 x 1st 4's.

1st - 9
2nd - 3, 5, 10
3rd - S2nd
4th - FD

$5 for 11.88%

Also done one with #9 as the RB (roving banker) with; 3, 4, 5, 6, 10.

$20 for 8.33%

RB has to run in the first 4, with your other selections filling the other 3 placings. Ideally the 9 wins, I get both first 4's and it pays a shit tonne :D

No problem, Skids. 8)

I was a bit scared, so I just had a nibble. Saved the "big" bet for something in the next couple of days.

Galaxy Cat finished 3rd. Garage Days finished 5th. IIRC the favourite won both races.

Dunno where Belmont is, but assume it's over now...? Err... R4 closed as I write... Still time...

....................................

Huh! I see in the "Extra Markets" that they offer H2H... Hmm...
That makes the racing betting more like the sports betting I'm more used to.

My Dilema won and paid $4
Saturm Black ran third and paid $4

I also got the first 4 in race 1 and a small % of the quaddie with small investments. Puts me back into the black for November, following a very good October.

Betting agencies having to provide monthly betting information is a good initiative I think.
A fitter I once worked with didn't realise how much he was actually losing until this service was provided... he had A BIG PROBWITH PUNTING.

Off to the Casino for an early lunch and a flutter. Kel is in good form on the Roulette wheel.

Had a look at the Seymour races and I think I'll have a stab with a few first fours in Race 5 and do a quaddie there.

I like number 7 Star Smash at $7 and the roughie, number 6, *Set Us Free. Back to a grade where she's had a few wins, likes the going (soft) and the distance and at 20/1 will put some value into the novelties.

1st - 7
2nd - 1, 3, 4, 6
3rd - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
4th - FD

$20 for 15% or $10 for 7.5%

1st - 6
2nd - 3, 4, 7
3rd - 1, 3, 4, 7
4th - FD

$10 for 21% or $5 for 10%

I'll do a trifecta

1st - 6 & 7
2nd - 6 & 7
3rd - FD

$5 for 30%

The Quaddie

R5 - 1, 3, 4, 6, 7
R6 - 1, 2, 4, 9
R7 - 1, 3, 5, 14, 17
R8 - 1, 4, 7, 8, 12

$25 for 5%

The Listed, Placid Ark Stakes is the 1st 4 Jackpot bet at Ascot tomorrow.

Baby Paris to win a first 4, adding some roughies into the mix in the 1 & 2.

1st - 7
2nd - 1, 2, 8, 9, 10
3rd - 1, 2, 8, 9, 10
4th - FD

$20 for 10%

Race 6 - Penny on the Queen at big odds
Race 7 - One of my favourite horses, coming back after a nice spell, Elite Street. Should be a cracking race, many chances and I can smell a big 1st 4 dividend if you get it right in this.

Yeah, I watched this race (& had a nibble). Fun to watch. ;) IIRC Saturn Black ran from the front (in the first 2) and held on well for 3rd. The caller said it was close between SB and Wuhan Warrior but it didn't look close on the screen.

Ended up making the "big" bet on Missy Longport @3.70 in Race 4, Moonee Valley, on Friday... But 'cos that's longish (for a favourite) I hedged...

There was drama. Last thing before the start they took Missy out of her gate and her blanket off for a vet inspection. She passed and went back in. Won easily! All okay... But I then sorta wished I hadn't hedged! If you pay attention, betting can teach you 'bout your emotions, etc.

I can't find this ("Placid Ark Stakes" or "Baby Paris") in Results. :?
This was Ascot on Saturday?

I do find these. PotQ (@16.00) finished 7th. ES (@3.20) finished 4th.

Wowee... Just saw that the whole day (today) at Wellington was abandoned. Weather??

Baby Paris was scratched at the start.

Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot on Saturday and my old mate John Reynolds from Geraldton has a runner (Eliminate) in the Regional Championship Final.

Will head down to the track after lunch at the Casino.

I like P.Harvey on All The Kings Men (3/1) in the listed Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic.
Theres also Kostas Crown (30/1) in the race. Only has one win from his 11 career starts, but has never been more than a few lengths away from the winner. Has to be a sneaky place chance.

There's only 3 runners under $10 in The Winterbottom; Rothfire (D.Oliver) $5.50, Vilana (J.Kah) $6 & Elite Street (B.Rawiller) $6.50.

I do like all of them but I'll be backing The Astrologist (W.Pike) at $13.
I'll also be having a go with a few 1st fours in this race. There are some very good horses in this race and a few at odds filling some of the placings would be no surprise.

A big go at the #2 in The Winterbottom. Backed from $6.50 into $4.80 this morning. Could J.Cummings quinella the feature on his first trip to the West?
Been some specking for the Colonel Reeves winner This'll Testya form $15 into $9. The 7yo Testa Rossa mare has been in sensational form this prep, finishing a close up second in both The Prince of Wales & Crawford Stakes before her last start win.
The Astrologist has firmed in a couple of points from $13 to $11.

Seems like a lotta races have the Lee-Steere name. Is this a famous fella in racing circles?

Well Cummings gets the Winterbottom with Paulele ($13)... why, as a bloke named Paul, I didn't back it still has Kelly scratching her head.
1st four paid $35k... I was close and if I had taken the #3 to win instead of the #5 I'd be giggling right now.

Came out of the Casino $10 down, left the races $200 lighter, dropped $50 on the soccer then won $400 on lotto. A lot if work to end up a few dollars in front.
