Just finished The Peripheral on Prime.

Based on the book by William Gibson.

Some people will find it confusing and a bit of a mind f@@k.
Takes a couple of episodes to get your head around the story & concepts but it was good.

Only one season so far, hopefully there will be another as we are interested in where the story goes.

If you like irreverent, mordant and politically-incorrect humor, look no further.

Your honour, on Stan, same lead as Breaking Bad, which was seriously the best show ever !

Hard to watch,oh so very hard, but brilliant, Bryan Cranston plays just the best conflicted anti heroes over! Amazing actor

Your Honour is quality, Bryan Cranston is a generational actor. Breaking Bad was as good as I've seen, Sopranos quality.

Yellowstone opened with a bang, but lost me about Season 3, they really started juming the shark. Taylor Sheriden is a quality writer though.

Season 2 starts on Jan 14th. I also noticed that the actress who played the mobster's daughter is now John Dutton's PA in Yellowstone.

Ah yes that’s where I have seen her, longer hair!
Cheers

Have you watched breaking bad?

I agree Laurie, a show you can rewatch, no bad seasons!

No I haven't watched Breaking Bad (or Better call Saul), they are on my list and one day I will get to them.

Back onto Yellowstone, did you watch the prequels 1883 and 1923? I liked 1883 but I am struggling with 1923 even though it stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

I started to, I’ll have another go!

Seriously get on to breaking bad! It’s incredible,I’m going to rewatch from the first episode in my gym when I finish the sci-fi thing I’m watching!

I liked Saul too, but it’s not a patch on breaking bad!

This was a solid 1st season, as of December 2022, there has been no official confirmation of a season two. Given the finale has only just aired, I'd expect it'll be several months before Amazon confirm if they've committed to underwriting a 2nd series.

Been working my way through Godfather of Harlem (Stan) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8080122/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

Follows a gangster named Bumpy Johnson whom makes his way in Harlem during the 1960s. A TV prequel to the 2007 film, 'American Gangster', which centered on the criminal enterprise of Frank Lucas.

Creators : Chris Brancato (Narcos) & Paul Eckstein (Narcos)
Headline Stars : Forest Whitaker (The Crying Game, The Last King of Scotland), Vincent D'Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket) & Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad)

For the genre, its solid enough, although lacks the Soprano's effect.
Worth a watch though, interesting period drama rolled in, given it's set in the '60's.
