think better wrote:Interesting how Frampton has become just about the most useful player on the list.
He rucked well on the weekend and has been more than good as a key back - and we picked him up for nothing!
You know what, give a man an opportunity...
I was quickly a Frampton fan and crazy called for him to ruck. His development as an AFL star is really gaining momentum. He will soon match it with the best of them. It will be an interesting selection dilemma when the first rucks come back.
BTW Ash Johnson is showing signs he could tear a game apart. In 4 weeks time our side will be running hot again. We all know this is a premiership side.
For this week, I think this team is pretty good. I want to see pleasant surprises in cameos and that we have once again the game plan to propel us to a win.
FB: Noble Moore IQ
CB: Crisp Maynard McInnes
C:J Daicos Nick Daicos WHE
CF: Pendles Checkers Elliott
FF: Ginny Johnson Kruger
R: Frampton JDG Mitchell
INT: Side McCreery McRae Ruscoe
Explaination
i think Frampton is doing a great job in the ruck.
I feel he is bigger frame as well compared with kruger.
Kruger to srat in the forward pocket and blend him into the game slowly.
Love it if the Daicos bros can control the centre and have pendles as there for support.
Have some height on the wing so i have put WHE there not ideal but i think he has nice run and leap to him still.
Crisp to shore up the run off half back and have the bull Maynard as that CHB role not too much height but stong enough to hold down that spot at chb.
Have McInnes there for that bit of height as well.
Either Reef or Ruscoe there.
Moore does what Moore does down back and kind of be that general down back and control it all on his terms.
Got some run in Noble and IQ in the other pocket.
At the other end of the ground Johnson and Checkers can work in tandem.
All the while the likes of Hill Elliott and Ginny are there.
JDG and Mitchell the on ballers.
Side is the very where man and the tackle machine in Mccreery and McRae reward for effort there as well.
All in all well balanced team given our injury toll.
I tip Pies to win it by 3-4 goals but it will be tight early on.
Again kick straight we win it.
Everyone has put their teams in, so ig I will too.
De Goey for Adams
Kreuger for McStay - Probably has to play but if hes not ready then probably Reef.
Ruscoe for Murphy - Best available back, no like for likes for Murphy. Ruscoe can play tall if needed. Been in good form. Murphy listed as assess but I think he is out, not 100% sure on the rules of concussion. Played Sunday night so probably wont be enough time for the Tuesday game.
B: Quaynor, Maynard, Markov
HB: N Daicos, Moore, Noble
M: J Daicos, Pendlebury, Sidebottom
HF: Elliott, Mihocek, Crisp
F: Hill, Johnson, McCreery
Foll: Frampton, De Goey, Mitchell
Int: Ruscoe, Hoskin-Elliott, Ginnivan, Kreuger
Sub: Bianco deserving, McRae may want to go tall so McInnes an option.
Eme: Kelly, Macrae, McInnes
Depth: Ryan (Fitness Test), Steene, Carmichael, Allan, Wilson, Harrison, Murley
Only the one key defender, but should matchup well with the small Essendon forward line. Maynard to take Stringer, Quaynor/Ruscoe will have to take Langford/Perkins. Not sure who Moore plays on if Jones misses, maybe they bring back Weideman? Markov will have to play on whoever their high half forward is, maybe Martin. Daicos will do Daicos things, Noble may have to play more defensively, we know he can do that. Has been great as an attacking backman to start the year.
Frampton to take the ruck, with Kreuger as the backup, and if needed, Ash the third guy. CBAs should look something like this:
1. Pendlebury
2. De Goey
3. Mitchell
4. Crisp
5. J Daicos
6. N Daicos
Pendlebury should be in nearly every one, the next 3 rotate, with De Goey being in the most, Crisp being in the least out of the 3. Daicos bros with stints in there as well. If we need to spice it up we got Billy, and last year we sometimes went to Maynard, who could go in if Stringer goes in.
Pressure will be the name of the game in the forward line. Elliott/Hill/McCreery/Ginnivan is one of the best small forward combos in the league. Mihocek reliable, Johnson and Kreuger to kick a couple between them would be nice.
The plan against Saints was to force them from their usual boundary line approach to scoring to move more to the spine where we picked them off from turn overs
What plan I wonder has Fly ,Leppa & Bolts for Bummers
Last night, I counted at least 19 good players we have for this big match, at least 19, so we should be OK, despite the outs, going to be close, tough, but I reckon we can get the job done.

Magpietothemax wrote:PieSource on Twitter is suggesting that Finn McCrae is going to be called up for the Anzac game.
I dont understand how he fits into this team unless De Goey is still sick, which is unlikely. Going to be very small if he plays instead of Ruscoe.
De Goey, Finn and Ruscoe could all play.
Out: McStay (inj), Murphy (inj), Adams (sus), Wilson (om)
In: Kreuger, Ruscoe, De Goey, McCrae (inj sub)
Just as they will go to school on exposing our rucks, we should do the same exposing their one dimensional, limited midfield ( especially without their captain )
It wouldn’t surprise me if we bolstered our stocks at the source of the contest. They virtually have to start with Parish, Shiel and Setterfield and have little support after that. Hardly a midfield that should strike fear into any opposition. Run em into the ground.
