That's exactly what I was thinking, and why I'd be very careful about offering to have a spell to give a young bloke a chance, lie with them, you might not get back in.WhyPhilWhy? wrote:Maybe he's recalling veteran players at the time like Paul Medhurst, Shane Obree, Tarkyn Lockyer and Josh Fraser that didn't make the 2010 Premiership team he was a part of.

ROUND 2 PERFORMANCES THAT FLEW UNDER THE RADAR
His ball use across the first two weeks is going 33 percent above AFL average. For the type of kicks he’s trying to pull off it is remarkable what he’s doing.
And as a result that was his highest rated game since 2017.
We keep talking about impact, that’s all that we are trying to measure. 24 (disposals) he had. He’s had games where he’s had 30, 35, 40 plus (disposals) but the impact hasn’t been there.
This is what Collingwood are doing, it doesn’t need to be a 35-disposal game to have an impact. It’s just high impact with what he is doing.
“22 he rated for that game. So that is a game that's off the charts.
“Anything 15 and above should be considered an elite game.”

Sidey and Pendles , both like 12 yr old whiskey, aged in Oak barrels, just top of the range. That goal by Pendles, dodging, weaving, in goal sq, was vintage Pendles, he can play easy two more seasons, beyond this one. 400 games, no problems at all.

He was hot and cold during 2021, and by early 2022 I had him out of the best 22. He just looked spent?masoncox wrote:I wanted him gone 3 years ago.
I was wrong!!!!
And then, he simply pulled his finger out, found the ball again and starting linking up brilliantly, both sides of the body, just like the early days.
Keep up the good work; you are super critical to the task at hand for 2023.

That would be the perfect way to send off two champions of the club.Rd10.1998_11.1#36 wrote:Not sure how much longer we’ll have him so let’s send him out with a(nother) flag (and Pendlebury)

All going well, game 300 for Rusty in his 15th season for the CFC will be our home game against North Melbourne at Marvel. (I'm glad it won't be against the Blues, they have a habit of raining on our parades)
I really hope the Club bang the drum that week and look to draw a capacity crowd to celebrate this champion of our Club.
In the 182-year history of our great Club, we have only had 3 x 300 game players. I think that's something you loyal supporters should be dragging your Grandchildren along to see.
I hope the Club invite fellow 300 gamers Tony Shaw and Scott Pendlebury to present him with a memento after the game.
His Captains Nick Maxwell, Scott Pendlebury and Darcy Moore to be interviewed, along with his coaches Malthouse, Buckley and Macrae to pay tribute.
Maybe we'll also see him give a debutant their first senior guernsey, wouldn't you like to have that as a legacy memory.
Surely, he'll be granted a light week on the track that week!
