I hadn’t looked at the draw that closely but a Perth crowd would likely be bigger than marvel really

Sidey won't be rested.

Furthermore, there's no frigging way we'll be tinkering with our line-up to suit any milestone celebrations.

We will pick the best team to win, plain and simple.

The media have been getting into Carlton big time. This is a line in the sand time for them. Backs to the wall and all that jazz.

It’s gunna be a tense match. I’m pretty gobsmacked that we’re 8 wins and 1 loss so far; I never saw that coming.

Wow, excellent question!!
When Darcy Cameron, Billy Frampton are both fit (which will be soon), we will go from the situation of a poverty of AFL standard talls to a glut of AFL standard talls!
And we must acknowledge that this incredible situation has arisen from the fires of adversity. As Lord Byron said, "adversity is the first path to truth". With no ruck division, others were called upon to step up, and they did. The truth is that our club has incredible reserves of talent and capacity, already steeled in the contest.
So this leaves the question to be answered: who goes out for Darcy Cameron if Jared Wade believes he is ready for AFL level football next week?
I have NFI.

And for that reason alone, I’m not sure I would be in such a hurry to bring Cameron straight into the firsts if he was available.
We’ve just played our best footy since the Port Adelaide game, Cox was BOG and the player were talking about coming in is a ruckman. Everyone says we’re short ( and we are ) but we keep winning, so something must be working. Won’t hurt Cameron to play measured minutes in the VFL and at least give Cox another crack at first ruck to see if he really is an improved player in that area.
It’s a ridiculous situation we’ve arrived at with our rucks because Cameron was in fine form before his injury, Cox was BOG on the weekend and Frampton was really good during his time in the ruck before his injury. It will sort ourself out cause it’s a long season but if I’m the coach, I’m saying to Cox “ we’re going to give you another chance to do the same again this weekend “

Even harder decision when Cameron, Frampton and Howe come back. 2 defenders to replace alongside the ruck. Hard to see Ryan, Allen or Richards debuting anytime soon or Carmichael getting a second go.

Yeah, however it's done, ease Cameron back in carefully, as Pies2016 says.

On form, it's easy to pick a best 22, but must respect the match-ups before making a definite call.

Maybe Ruscoe for Markov if the match-up requries a bigger body to quell their forwards.
He won't rack up meters gained in the same way, but is reliable intercepting defender and still has some dash for his size. And he's a better kick than Markov.

If the Blues start with Silvagni, McKay and Curnow, we might need a bit more height and bulk.

I'd be happy with either as this weeks Sub in place of McInness.

There is more chance of the Beatles reforming, recording a new album next week, with John and George back in the studio too . :P

I fear that the scum will fire right up for their GF status game against us. However I’m confident that if we play a really good game, we will win by 17.

Comrade, maaate, us Magpie Vets, never got over the disasters of 1970, 79, 81, the 92 Centenary match, the 125 match, ALL LOSSES. Last yrs last rd one point win, was a tiny, miniscule bit of payback, but its not enough, nowhere near enough. Win on Sunday, will help, but we owe them so much, though it did my heart good to see the pricks get 5 wooden spoons, this century, 3 more spoons, than us, that helped somewhat ! :o :!:

The only way this will ease my pain, is to beat them on the last Saturday in September, only then I will rejoice in joy & happiness.
