Donny.
It's a game. Enjoy it.

A calm and professional win. I noticed a red 'STOP' sign held up by our bench about 10 minutes into the last quarter, which I assumed, was a direction to simply slow and kill the game. Job done. No need to risk injuries with a manic last quarter.
Cameron did well to get through the game. Darcy Moore was BOG and Jordy was magnificent.
Sitting pretty on top of the ladder is a nice position to be in.

Thought we won it very efficiently. Conserved energy brilliantly. Save the Herculean final quarters to the times when they are really necessary. Carlton never looked likely to be a threat, and we were content to hold them at arms length in the second half.
Our entire defence was brilliant again. Our army of small defenders (IQ, Noble, Markov, Bruzza) along with their ever present back ups in JDaicos, NDaicos, are supplying massive pressure at ground level. Teams are kicking inaccurately against us, but that is the result of the pressure, mostly real and also perceived.
Darcy Moore's game was phenomenal, Carlton had no answer for his aerial dominance and his astonishing anticipation of the game.
Loved McCreery's efforts again tonight: he is becoming a very important element in our F50 with his ferocious pressure and speed.

We played a smashing game until halfway thru the second quarter.
After that we were just cruising
How good is Moore? and Pendles?

It’s always great to beat Carlton no matter what the final score is.That was a great first half, and a pretty drab second half.I was hoping we would absolutely smash them in the second half, but alas it was not to be.
Carlton are a plucky side, and they do tend to fight out games where they are being outclassed,,like they did against the Lions, the Dogs, and us today.
And Darcy Moore is a wonder. His marking is freakishly good. What a star!

Hell no!masoncox wrote:Wouldn't you love to see him as the ruck.Jezza wrote:Darcy Moore is elite. Completely nullified their talls.
His old man believes that's where he should play.
Unfortunately there is only one Darcy.
What a great shame.
Rucks are overrated in this comp anyway. Moore's role as leader from the backline is why we set up most of our goals from defense. Rucks are just asking for injuries. But Darcy Cameron was terrific today by the way.

I know EddieSmith is an umpire of sorts here, and anyone else who knows about the game, was that the right call against Ginny or not? I can only base it on my experience of watching heaps of games over the years and I think that was an umpire error, yet again against Ginny. I’m happy to be corrected.Piesnchess wrote:Pleasing, got four very valuable points, should have won by more really, but the Umps made sure we didnt. Jack Ginni is now public enemy no. 1 in the maggots book, and it must cease. Yeh, good win, we started very well, which surprised me, and basically won it in the first half. We won, we annihilate Nth next week, for Sidey and Cox, and its onwards and upwards. !
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm

A shocking decision Lazza! And as proof the whole 7 commentary team were saying the same thing. Lingy was adamant he is being persecuted by the umpires. And remember most of them were barracking for the Blues all day. No this is just a vendetta pure and simply. A disgrace. But then the AFL is run by human disgraces!
