Sideys big 300th, Mason Cox 100th, lots to celebrate. Glad these Norf prunes lost in such a heartbreaking way, they will be shot to bits on confidence. cant see Ratts doing much with em. Time for a massive win, say 96 points and get our % way past the Lons and Deeeees.!

Our Marvel record under Fly last year was 1 win, 2 losses so it's something to be mindful of.
We should be winning comfortably if all things are equal. North were competitive against Sydney and they tested us last year so I'm going to assume this will be a tougher game than some expect.

My fear is that we will be complacentJohnno75 wrote:The last of these 3.20/4.40 games on Sunday.
Big occasion for us to be complacent. The Roos won’t kick more than 7 goals.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm

This group is so tight, there isn’t a chance in hell they are going to allow Sideys and Cox milestones to result in a loss. It’s a bloody long season and there’s always a bit of self preservation starts to creep in once you know you’re going to play finals. They’ll win but I wouldn’t be overly critical if the overall performance was a bit underwhelming. There’s bigger fish to fry.

The last loss against the Dogs at Marvel, started our run last year. It wont end this years' run against NorthJezza wrote:Our Marvel record under Fly last year was 1 win, 2 losses so it's something to be mindful of.

Surprisngly, we have the 3rd best % winning record in the AFL at Docklands.

I didn't see the game but North annoyingly seemingly found some much needed spirit against Sydney and you only have to see what West Coast did to us last year at Marvel to know the result of any game is at risk if you aren't mentally switched on.
I'm all for player management and the big picture if you put yourself in a position where you can afford that luxury but at this point in the season I don't think we should tempt fate and "manage" more than 2 players completely out of the side each round over the next 2 weeks.
While it's been a great start to the season and a top 8 finish should be expected given we're currently 4 games and percentage clear of 9th, it's top 4 (preferably top 2 to avoid the Gabba or Adelaide) that we're aiming for and a lot of water still has to go under that bridge.
