thanks, i got a couple, but there were only three available. This is in the non members area. Does anyone know if they open up the ground at any stage if the various members areas do not fill up?buzzlightyear wrote:Just purchased online, so should be all good.gurugeoff wrote:Just tried to buy some tickets for this match - Ticketmaster says there are none available - does this sound right?

The Roos are coming into some form.
Good young midfielders, Larky playing well and Coleman Jones coming good. Not a team to be complacent against, need to come out hard and fast like against Carlton, then put the foot on the throat.

100% a danger game.
It will be North's Grand Final for 2023.
They would love to pump us, but I think we have the talent to overcome what I expect to be a very spirited North.
I would be providing a body guard for Nick Daicos- I reckon someone will try and snipe him...

Norfs 2023 GF, turn it up, if we cannot win this by 50+ points, we are kidding ourselves, we are a class above them on every single line.

North don't worry me, but that horrible TV studio, masquerading as a footy ground, worries me big time. I've hated us playing there since it was built. After watching us go into cruise mode against Carlton in the last quarter, I suspect our aim is to win, but not to exhaust ourselves unnecessarily. Nevertheless, we should win by 4-5 goals.
Sidey will probably be rested next week if anything and avoid him flying to Perth.
Great milestones, less than 1% of players play 300 games, a fantastic achievement and we will now have 2 300 gamers running around on the same field.
Cox achievement also fantastic, written off many times, suffered a potentially career threatening injury to his eye and is now clunking them better than ever. Has been a shinning light since the injury to Grundy and now eventual departure. Only 18% of players play 100 games and big Coxy didn’t even know it existed until his 20s.

I think North was given the motivation they needed in being able to show solidarity for their absent coach against the Swans.
But lets keep in mind the Swans haven't been that good, and it was a narrow win, in controversial circumstances, their game was 14th versus 16th (yeah, yeah 17th V 18th was a drubbing).
North were without Davies-Uniacke which may have altered the outcome against Sydney, and Wardlaw had a good first game. LDU probably plays this week, both are positives for them if Wardlaw can stand up again.
North have beaten WCE & Freo (in the west) in the first two rounds. Then lost to Hawks by 19 and Carlton by 23.
They then lost the next five by 75, 43, 90, 30 & 70. 308 points in total.
Collingwood by 300

Last year we got smashed out of the middle and in the air in D50. Goldstein (2.2), LDU, Jed Anderson and Simpkin on ball killed us, Larkey up forward (5.1) was unstoppable, and McKay in defence did a good job. If memory serves me correctly Moore and JDG didn’t play, and it was Carmichael’s debut. We played 20 mins of footy all and it was enough (just). Adams was huge in the last quarter before injuring himself late.
This time around, LDU is injured, Jed Anderson no longer plays for North, McKay is injured, and Moore and JDG are flying, with T.Mitchell added to the middle. The quick, skinnier Marvel is somewhat of a worry if North win the centre square with Larkey and Zurhaar always dangerous inside 50. But let’s be honest, Sydney are depleted and simply rubbish at the moment, and North still found a way to lose. If we’re serious, we win by at least 30-50 without ever being seriously challenged after half time. If we’re complacent, they have enough spirit to give us a scare cos as we all know they like to get up for this one.
Here’s hoping for 2-3 dominant quarters, and not just the 1.5 we put up yesterday (which was enough, but not enough to warrant too many replay watches).

If we are to rest players in the next fortnight, it may be something like this:
North Game:
* Adams: for Carmichael
* Elliott: for Harrison who they seem to be keen to blood
Eagles Game:
* Pendles: save from the flight west
* Steele: post 300 games relief weekend off
(bring back in Elliott and Adams)

I expect us to outscore them by at least two goals every quarter; in fact, if they outscore us in ANY quarter [like 2022], then we are not switched on.Piesnchess wrote:Norfs 2023 GF, turn it up, if we cannot win this by 50+ points, we are kidding ourselves, we are a class above them on every single line.warburton lad wrote:100% a danger game.
