From memory, the Deeeees have lost their last eight matches against us I think or maybe nine, mostly KB games, we even beat them the year they went on to win the Premiership. So, it would not be a disaster if we were to drop this one, close game, I suppose, rather now then in the finals. ?

From memory Buck's last game as coach was a win over Melbourne at the SCG, due to COVID, when Melbourne were at their peak?Piesnchess wrote:From memory, the Deeeees have lost their last eight matches against us I think or maybe nine, mostly KB games, we even beat them the year they went on to win the Premiership. From updates McCreey is cleared of injury.
So he will play.
Have Beau on the half forward line along with Hill.
WHE is going to get assessed today.
From also updates looking like he too cleared of injury.
Plus side we have Lipinski McStay back.
Was hopeing that we could have a sneak peak at the likes of McRae and Allan as well but might have to wait till just after the bye.

I fail to see the logic of fielding any players who have obvious ankle/foot injuries from week prior, when they cannot run full tilt, or change direction.90 nice wrote:From updates McCreey is cleared of injury.

Give them a week off, as they were both totally underwhelming against WCE anyhow. Let them recover properly; we should have learned from seasons past that this is how minor injuries become major injuries.
Selecting players in this condition sends the wrong message to the guys playing in VFL, vying for senior selection.
Select only 100% fit players without any niggles! We are 11/1 FFS!

The good thing is the Dees won't get a practice run at stopping the Beast (Jordy) before finals time, when we could very well play them at some point. maybe even the big one. I'd not push Beau, either, rest him -- McInness to come in and play a similar role. Get him cherry ripe for the following week.
In: Elliott, Lipinski OR McCrae, McInness
Out: Harrison, DeGoey, McCreery

The Ins an Outs are too hard to pick early this week.
Whatever one thinks, it's probably wrong....so I wait and see.

I agree with Piedys why risk two injury clouded players in McCreery and Hoskin-Eliott?
Had a few players banging the door down in the VFL in Mcare, Carmichael and Reef...surely one or more of these deserve to be given a game over two players coming back from long term injury with no form???

Wonder if the bookies will take bets on Grundy ramming the first bounce down the throat of Mitchell...
