Oscar Allen

Post by Born to Pie »

What could we offer West Coast for Oscar Allen in the Trade period?

WCE currently being smashed by Sydney, he is a wasted talent in their forward line, currently 24 years old, and by the time Eagles can rebuild he's probably going to be 29.

Worth a shot.

Two first rounders and Ruscoe but the eagles won't budge.

If we could secure:

* a top free agent
* 2 good draft picks
* a bargain basement player from another club &
* two longer-term project players

that would be a good post season haul to offset the 5-7 players that are likely to leave.

Unless he walks, West Coast would be desperate to hang on to him. One of the very few standing up for them at the moment.

One of the few shining lights for the Eagles.

If he wanted to leave, I would hope the club made enquiries.

Hard to imagine him leaving, as he is a local. However, as BtP says, his career may be done before the Wiggles get back in the window. We are there now, so would look very appealing to a 24 year old gun forward. Players play for premierships, and careers are short. He is worth a massive crack.

He;s contracted until the end of 2025. Would certainly be a massive in if we could get him. He won't leave WA.

Package up something with Ed Allan. Say our draft pick from Carlton, Ed Allan and Trey Ruscoe.

Georgiadis is the one to target, can't get a game and wants out of Port, a WA boy but if he wants success we are the place to come to

He's worse than Johnson, and with much less upside. Pass.

Allen is a gun but I doubt we can prise him out.

Yeah a case of Allen deciding either to get to a club in the premiership zone or remain loyal to the club that gave him the opportunity to play AFL football. It’s up to him but geez, if he’s available, Collingwood need to be involved.

They've already lost Kennedy, and Darling struggling as a result; Allen will be on the big dollars there soon enough, but just won't see any September action.
