Nah, 2-1 up after 4 matches. 1 to go, worst case is Poms win and it's 2 all., best case we win and it's a 3-1 drubbing in the scorebook despit all the noise.

I really quite enjoy how Broad and Piers Morgan calling it a travesty that we retain the ashes with a draw, yet back in 2015 when the situation were reversed they were both gloating on Twitter about them retaining the Ashes with a draw. :P Putting stuff on Social Media can come back to bit you hard on the arse.

Anyway, up in Toc, beautiful blue skys, sunny, and the shed is finished. Having a beer now, tomorrow get to work cleaning up.

Just saw that a major filmmaker donated $1000 to the fundraiser for the magazine I edit yesterday!

It’s been a long road, but feels like we’re finally getting some traction. :)

Enjoy the holiday.

Yesterday was fkn beautiful up in Toc, cold morning but no clouds or wind and sunshine all day. Spent the morning moving all the remnants of the old shed from beside the house. Pile of corrugated iron, 3m steel poles with 20kg of concrete at the bottom and a load of timber.

Before lunch I was down to a T shirt and jeans and sweating, but got it all cleaned up. May have overdone it though, or maybe it was the shit weather today, had the shakes all day. **** anxiety.

Sitting out the back late arvo, thinking I should really call the plumber to do the downpipes on the shed, guess who walked into the back yard.

Perfect timing. He was driving past, called in and is available to start tomorrow.

So he's teed up to do the downpipe out to the kerb, connect the drains in the shed to the sewerage and while he's at it, dig up and replace some of the pipe as there's a blockage. Drop the kids off at the pool requires a return to site for a second full flush 10 minutes later to clear things out.

I'll be here when they start, told him not to damage the NBN cable (again) and got some ideas of how to constuct a shower in the shed without spending a mint. Smart kid.

Can I ask what the medium term plan is? You can't just keep increasing the required amount on the Go Fund me page and rely on those donations indefinitely, can you? That's hardly a sustainable business model.

You need to get a reliable source of revenue or reduce costs (or both) otherwise it's looking grim.

Can you sell advertising?

Arrived in Vancouver 5.30 pm, Qantas food was great, seats not so much but I got some sleep! So happy to see port and Brisbane lost!
Left the hotel at 8 and walked to the casino, which was pretty boring, no atmosphere. Followed streams of people to a night market, mostly Asian deep fried food and anime stuff! My eldest would love it! We got together with an Asian dad and his 2 kids and bought a quick entry family pass!
Walked down the main drag, we are in Richmond near the airport, went to an Asian grocers, horrible joint, as big as Costco but grotty, tanks of live eels and another with hundreds of crabs all jammed in, at that point I Was like get be out of here.
We had a huge Brekky on the plane at about 4, so for dinner had the inside of a hungry jacks whopper and a can of jack Daniela with Diet Coke, 473ml for $4!

I was still in a tshirt at 10pm! Heaven! It’s 10.30pm, suddenly knackered, good night all!!
