Very sad indeed. Strange to think that it's only two years ago that he took on Max Gawn and helped us win a massive upset in Nathan Buckley's last game as coach. That should have been the start of something, but because we had Grundy, Cox and Cameron to call on he never played another senior game for us (and ended up playing eleven in total, three for Collingwood and eight for Hawthorn). I hope Max finds success and fulfilment in whatever he turns his hand to next.

Yep, during those awful Covid years he seemed to take on the role of keeping up team spirits with his boyish antics and really enjoyable Lunchtime podcasts.

It must be so hard to accept being forced to give up the game under such sad circumstances. However, he is such a personable, likeable person that many doors will hopefully open for him, both in connection with footy and maybe elsewhere.

Not a great result for us... Putting the resources into developing a player who then takes off and when he returns helps another club.

While all the focus has been on The Bont, a bloke called Adam Treloar quitely having a cracking season.

Season averages to date :
29.6 disposals ;
12.2 contested possessions ;
16.9 uncontested possessions ;
3.9 inside 50's ;
1.9 rebound 50's ;
and 327.9 meters gained.

With those numbers he's on track to match the blinder 2016 & 2019 seasons he had for us in.

No he’s not. I’ve watched a lot of Dogs games this year (for some reason) and he’s a worse turnover merchant by hand and foot than he was for us. Go read a Dogs board and you’ll see they wanted him sent to the VFL weeks ago.

Also, Poulter occasionally does some decent things, but my goodness that up and under go-to hoik kick of his is just awful. The kid rarely lowers his eyes, slow wind up, and slams a ball that goes 45m up and 45m long nearly every time.

I noticed Ollie Henry seems to be filling out and has added a fair amount of muscle mass. Given the aging Hawkins, he might develop into an important key forward for the Cats. How hard did we try to keep him?

Also McGuiness seems to be kicking a few lately. Will he ever get a regular place in the firsts?
