Lose this game and I put my membership in the microwave
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

Upped intensity in the contest, doing the disciplined thing, and a few structural tweaks could still flick the switch. We didn't win all those close games because of a lack of desire.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

What I don't understand is if Steele has a long term foot problem that is now playing up - why wouldn't it have benefited while he was recovering from the knee injury?

Sounds like he is perhaps playing with something more serious.

No need for Ruscoe IMO, if you got Markov
Maybe choose Carmichael/Macrae as a starter, to boost the midfield.
Mitchell out is very, very unlikely
To me, the Mihocek/McStay combination does not look well-suited.

You got Cox as a Cos lettuce in the forward line?

MacRae said he’s had it for a couple years, so obviously it’s had little impact on his ability to get on the park and play decent footy. It’s probably just a hot spot that flares up when a stress related trigger sets it off.
There isn’t a player in the comp who isnt playing with some kind of niggle at this time of the season. If we rested everyone who was a bit sore, then we field our VFL side most weeks and then we don’t win enough games to play in September anyway. Playing with pain is a very unheralded quality in a footballer. Some simply do it better than others.

Will be interested not just in the changes but how many we make. It’s a minimum of two, but feels like it could be as many as four or five (accounting for form, structure and doubts over whether Murphy will be available). How many is too many before that starts to have a negative impact in its own right?

Assuming Murphy plays, it looks like Cox and Ginni are set to return.

If so, I'd play Cox in the ruck with Cameron starting up forward.

In: Cox, Ginni, WHE

Out: Daicos, Sidey, Johnson

Nah, Howe won’t start there, he will be the back up plan if things get to be in desperate panic station situation again. I hope we don’t get to that stage.

Apparently Hawkins is out,and someone suggested on another site that Cameron is under an injury cloud as well. This gives us a great opportunity to win this. But the players have to be in the right frame of mind to win, something they clearly haven’t been in for the last two weeks.
