They'd need to put up temporary fencing which would likely have council issues. Can't have the locals Dogs not able to shit on the surface of the park for 24 hours.

Temporary fencing isn’t an issue, have done it for games before.

Had a look on the Yarra Council website and the ground is booked on Sunday.
