The man is the perfect example of Fly,s plan for all his players
Be the best version of your self that you can be
All the players are relaxed and happy but two show it a lot
Oleg Markov and Bobby Hill
The success of the guys joining us this year a credit to themselves and the coaching group

Never struck me as a hot head I agree with you! That was the word or reasoning coming out of Tigerland when they delisted him!dalyc wrote:Hot head? I’ll admit I didn’t take any notice of him when he was with the other clubs but he strikes me now as very mature, professional and level headed. Has he changed?Mossi wrote:My Richmond mate, right from the beginning was troubled that his club had cut him loose as being a "hot head". Bad decision Tigers and Suns.

He fits our game style perfectly. He's fast and does a lot of sacrificial running going forward to be an option, but gets back quick and does his job in defence.
Him and Hill have really lifted our leg speed which was already pretty good.

Great story.
What I like about this guy is that he has gotten better with every game he plays. He doesn’t seem to have backwards at any time from one game to the next. Really tough to consider leaving him out because you sense he’s still got more improvement in him.
I really hope he’s one that makes the cut.

Oleg Markov has been a real bonus to the team this year with his pace out of the backline and his contribution to the team defense and run and carry out of the backline, but I'm not sold on his disposal or one-on-one contesting ability.
He seems to have a long kick as his go to disposal but not many of those long kicks after his characteristic dash out of the defense goes directly to a Collingwood teammate.
His on-on-one contest work isn't awful, but he doesn't inspire the same confidence as Moore, Murphy or Howe in that area of his game.
Hence, I see him as the most likely to be the sub in the first final with his dash being useful to add to the team's run and carry in case of an injury during the game.
I feel Hoskin-Elliott offers more skill than Markov with the added ability to go forward and impact the scoreboard.

Oleg's enthusiasm is infectious. Such a great personality to have at the club.

Oleg Markov has signed a fresh new contract with the Club
There's been few players that have blended as seamlessly in one season as Leggy. Feels like he's been with us for a decade. Just a good human.
The Collingwood Football Club is pleased to announce defender Oleg Markov has signed a fresh new contract with the Club.
