Yeh, village idiot, a lack of a game plan that got us to the top of the Ladder nearly all season, and finished on top two games clear. But whatever, carry on hows that Corio 5 star whiskey kicking in now . :P

Remember Steve johnson Geelong supposedly hobbled but played and the rest was history. Play our best team and don't leave us wondering.Go Pies.
You have forgotten the 2011 Grand final - we played barely fit and unfit players and look what happened there. Playing injured players out of desperation rarely works.

Although we didn’t play Moore in 2010 and that didn’t work either… (following on from Buck’s comments on radio this morning).

Generally speaking however, we have the double chance - so it’s not so or die at this stage.
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...

It didn't seem to stop Stevie J destroying us, on one leg. Or a bruised and battered Brisbane in '03. Nor did it stop Millane or Didak. In saying all that, we are not desperate and don't need to risk him if NQR. I dare say that if it was a GF, we'd take a risk.

Spot on.

Funny you should say that, I have a very clear memory of returning home from that game thinking that we were not good enough to win the flag after a pathetic performance. I’m a bit more confident now but still not fully convinced until we defeat the likes of Melbourne on Thurs. We need to win.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

Buckley was quoted as saying WHE was the only 4-quarter player against Ess.

Fritsch alert

"Champion Data numbers reveal that no AFL player since 2019 has made a greater scoreboard impact in the finals they’ve played than Fritsch, who kicked six goals in the Dees’ 2021 grand final victory over Western Bulldogs.

The September specialist’s total offensive impact in five finals across the past four years is 22.8 points, including 3.4 goals, one behind and 0.4 score assists.

The only opposition player who comes close to that is All-Australian Lion Charlie Cameron (19.1), while Isaac Heeney (16.5), Eric Hipwood (16), Jeremy Finlayson (15.5) and Toby Greene (15.3) are next."

Weather forecast has turned from last week, it now looks wet and showers in the evening.

Does this favour us? Takes away their intercept marking backs. Slows their midfield. Open up to our Tigers style of smashing the ball forward in chaotic fashion.

Do we then play 1 ruck or both for a half and then sub the worse performing ruck at half time. Aim being to have 2 rucks work over Gawn for a half.

Your thoughts on the weather and what it might mean?

...
Does it really? If we just kick it long and straight, they can still take chest marks...

thinking about the weather im leaning towards a greesy deck and has some slipperyness to it.

Showers on and off.

Training now with wet balls.

Does anyone know if theres training on tomorrow.

I see on Sportsbet the line has gone from 1.5 to 4.5 in the pies favour so not too sure on what to read on it.

It maybe weather or something.

"Village Idiot" are the exact two words that pop into my mind when reading his comments.
