I’m emotionally drained. We’ve been strong all year, but it’s still surreal to be playing off in a Grand Final.

The PF defeats of 2019 against GWS and the 1 point loss last year have been put to rest now.

JDG was massive for us, particularly in the 3rd quarter when the game was slipping away from us.

Massive games from JDG and Crispy. They were absolutely sensational and busted their asses all game with a their willingness to run hard at every opportunity.
Coxy was also pivotal and battled hard all game.

Any team, anywhere, anytime….Go Pies!!!!!!!

I thought I was the only one who noticed that Lipinski heard footsteps and pulled out of contests. You can’t do that in any game let alone a final

GWS complaining about an alleged around the neck to Toby but, as I pointed out, the umpires applied the Ginnivan rule so nothing to see.

Spot on. I think Jaicos, Bobby and Billy all got away with a few and Checkers unrealistic attempt also not punished late so fair enough I suppose…but geez pushing your opponent in the back has been against the rules for 150 years and GWS got away with it all night whereas we were pinged every time…dirty rotten cheating biased maggots.

I we play Brisbane (who have lost Jack Payne for the remainder of the season) it will balance out the loss of McStay.

Unlikely that Adams gets up for GF so Lipinski is reprieved.

Cox and Cameron to rest forward and must make aerial contests of every ball that comes in.

McStay a big loss...

Full credit to the GWS, they are a seriously very good side, very well coached, and I would rate them over both the Blues and Lions, so that one may well have been our hardest final. Anyway, we got there we lost last yr by one point so we made up for that tonight, put things right again. Now for the Big Dance.

Frampton in to replace McStay. That will free Howe up to go forward.

Frampton strikes me as the logical replacement for McStay ( and he will miss, unfortunately ) Frampton is no superstar but he gives us great flexibility down the middle. He can allow Howe to go forward, hold down a forward line role himself or play second ruck and allow Cameron or Cox more time as forwards.

I think we played 1 too many talls. A few times the giants moved it through the middle, and it was the talls they were cutting up, particularly in the second term.

I thought Crispy kept us in it and drove us back into the game in the 3rd quarter. He's another bull we have who rarely lets us down. IQ was brilliant again. The confidence we have in him to win most contests is a rare thing for any club. And that's both in the air and on the deck.
Once again, we have a team that turns it into a game of "whack a mole" for the opposition. Just when they think they have us covered, someone pops up to keep them guessing. I love that about our side. They all have their moments as Fly repeatedly states. And those moments are at the core of our strength.

Such an exciting time to follow this awesome Club

Yep, they're a terrific outfit under Kingsley.

Really admire the way they play. Not too dissimilar to ourselves in wanting to move the ball quickly.
