As I mentioned in the pregame thread we needed to find goals today from a few more of our unlikely sources and thankfully we got just enough.

Sidebottom only 3 goals for the season kicked a stunner in the last, Crisp 8 goals before today kicked 2 of the best, while old man Pendlebury also only nailed a crucial goal after also saluting just 8 times coming into the GF.

The Brisbane forwards contributed 10 of their 13 by my calculations.

Our forwards 5 of 12.

They had the better forward group but we were the better team overall and one of our individual forwards was so good they won the Normie.

Got to give Fages and his boys credit they put us through the grinder

But that wasn't just a great GF it was a bare knuckle street fight of a game, all guts and fury.

When you are in it and they are coming at you with anything they can lay their hands on it takes guts to stand there and smash them back.

Sheer guts and an unbreakable will to win.

What a team. What a club. There are two types of footy supporters - Collingwood supporters and those who wish they were Collingwood supporters.

We won the flag, but lost a daughter of Collingwood a few hours after the game. My mum, born in 1931 in Collingwood, at the height of the depression, held on for dear life, but passed away earlier this morning. This Premiership will forever be cherished as my mum's flag.

Collingwood forever, forever Collingwood.

Class will out, and we saw that yesterday, Sidey, Naicos, De Goey at the end

Collingwood is a special bond indeed. Condolences, mate. Thoughts are with you.

We had all the stats going our way at 3/4 time, I said to my mate Tim, I think we got them. I am never positive, but it felt right. Even after Daniher goaled I thought "That's fine, we will just kill the ball for two minutes."

Flagpies. You #$#$# beauty.
90 sec! The same amount of time that lost us 2018!
