What does the GB medal looks like.

Be good to get a photo of it and maybe of Nick collecting it.

Is there a presentation event of it.

Be great if this could be at a pub in Collingwood.

Whatever you want it to. ;)

In all seriousness, I love the idea, and we've even made a serious effort at trying to make it happen before, but never quite pulled it off. If enough of us wanted to take this on as a project and make it a reality, I'd absolutely be on board!

There used to be some interest in the award being an immediate entry on “Married at First Sight” (with a view to boosting our F/S stocks) but I expect that might be frowned upon, now, in some quarters.

That’d make the rest of the evening an anticlimax.

Thanks for doing the recording and number crunching here David. I like the suggestion of a presentation of the award at a pub and suggest the Birmingham Hotel in Smith St as the venue. Mitch the publican is a big pies fan and has made it a great place to watch games and celebrate wins.
Interesting comparison of the Copeland and Gavin Brown top tens..
Copeland Gavin Brown
Josh Daicos Nick Daicos
Nick Daicos & Brayden Maynard Jordan De Goey
Josh Daicos
Tom Mitchell Scott Pendlebury
Scott Pendlebury Jack Crisp
Isaac Quaynor Tom Mitchell
Jack Crisp Isaac Quaynor
Brody Mihocek Steele Sidebottom
Darcy Moore Darcy Moore
Jordan De Goey Brody Mihocek

Pretty similar spots for each player in each list with notable exceptions…

Coaches recognised Bruzzy’s contributions much more than we did. I suggest a couple of reasons for this.

Each coach has more votes to allocate then we did. Often I couldn’t fit Maynard into the top 5 players but he had a very consistent year and was thereabouts most weeks.

The coaches are also across team systems and specific roles of players more than we are so will consequently reward this more than we do. As an example, I suggest they would rate Billy Frampton’s 2 possession game in the Grand Final much higher than many supporters did because of his work in nullifying his direct opponent Andrews.

We rated De Goey much higher than the coaches did. Not sure why this is the case.

Sidey made our top ten but not the Copeland , largely on the back of a stellar finals series.
