Like to see us finally get our forward spearhead.

As per mods request do you have a source?mattdally wrote:Lachie Schultz has now requested a trade to the Pies.
Would be a very good pick up in my view. Let's see what the Dockers ask for in return.
Not sure what need he fills. We seen to have an abundance of pressure forwards… I know Elliott is getting on and Ginnivan perhaps isn’t so much a “pressure” forward. I’ll of course declare that some of last years trades seemed superfluous to me at the time as well (and that turned out ok).
I don’t mind him though - certainly gives it his all and pretty crafty around goal.
I’m also curious to know, do these players come out and say “I want to go to xxx” with both their own and the target club already working on something?

Was BOG in their derby. Not sure the role he fills UNLESS Ginivan is on the move?
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

He comes for "free' as he was previously de-listed so that is a huge bonus! He is unfashionable but hugely effective. Despite Taylor Adams effectiveness, Lachie shall be an excellent long-term upgrade. 33 goals this year and 50 inside 50 tackles this year plus durable playing 23 matches in 2022 and 2023. He finished 5th and 6th in best and fairest too.mattdally wrote:Lachie Schultz has now requested a trade to the Pies.

Update: he actually hit a trigger for a third year contract so a trade may be required

Apologies - I forgot to paste the link to the source.
I believe it's all over the web now.

Schultz is a serious talent. Finally a small defensive forward who actually kicks goals. He will be a massive beneficiary of our quick ball movement too.
Assuming the trade goes through, our forward line has just become potent.
He won’t have made this decision overnight, so I’m inclined to think this was on the cards long before the Adams request.

Good call Pies2016. Great pressure inside 50 forward with both offensive and defensive skills.Pies2016 wrote:Schultz is a serious talent. Finally a small defensive forward who actually kicks goals. He will be a massive beneficiary of our quick ball movement too.
