Did you play? Do you have Premiership medal around your neck?

Not that I want to compel people to only rant based on facts - but the AFL trade thread is reporting that he didn't request the trade. Speicifically:Piesnchess wrote:Jezza wrote:You’ve changed your tune in record time.Piesnchess wrote:Yeh fabulous Phil locked by boo Jack thread, fussy lad is Phil.
So, WILL U BOOO JACK GINNIVAN NEXT SEASON AND BEYOND ??
I sure as hell will, boo loud enough, he might fall over. !!
Traitors and turn coats dont sit well with me, I wanted him to stay, now he has broken many little kids magpies hearts, including my two Nephews, No. 33 on their jumpers, got his autograph for them at York Hotel. No, im done, never seen Premieship player do this, 3 weeks after getting a medal, its a first. Stuff him, the Karma bus is on its way now, to the piss an poop, and him. hopefully.
"As of this morning he has agreed to be traded to Hawthorn. Both teams met last night to hash out the deal. Both clubs agreed to swap future second round picks as the basis of the deal. Ginnivan hadn't requested a trade, but has now agreed to be traded."
Like everything about the AFL (including everything Collinmgwood ever does or says) that report may be tripe but it does seem that Collingwood showed him the door.

Well at least you can still watch the GF replay and go long stretches without sighting himANNODAM wrote:It’s what happened with Grundy this year on KB, he kicked a goal & in the end, it was the difference.
I was upset Grundy left, I was upset that TA left, I am now upset that Ginni has left.
With Grundy & TA they don’t have medals, Ginni does & now his face is in every GF poster we own, it saddens me he is no longer at the Club but at the same token, I don’t want anyone at CFC if they’re not going to commit 100%

This is a good exercise in showing the possible ( purely hypothetical) scenario that could easily unfold. This helps to make the pick swaps look a bit better than what it might seem at first.inxs88 wrote:Slight slight relief on deal. Getting a 6 spot bump this year to 33 helps given the suite of Gold Coast Academy picks and may see us bump that up to 28 in this years draft. The futures all depend on the Pies finishing considerably higher (vs Hawks ladder position) in 2024.
For example: Academy/Father Son picks aside
If Hawks finish 14th and Pies finish 3rd in 2024 the result would be:
* Pies would get Pick 23 and Hawks Pick 34 (Second Round)
* Pies would get Pick 41 and Hawks Pick 52 (Third Round)
* Pies zero Pick and Hawks would get Pick 70 (Fourth round)
What we need to do, is bid for Will McCabe if he’s still there at 33 odd. That should put the wind up the Hawks !

I'm disappointed he's gone but not really surprised after giving Fly the finger with the jockey stunt.Pies4shaw wrote:Not that I want to compel people to only rant based on facts - but the AFL trade thread is reporting that he didn't request the trade. Funny enough in most circumstances but childish and petulant in this case.
