Steve Smith is Adil Rashid's bunny.

Morgan told viewers Rashid had got FTB Smith out 6 times in 12 innings. (Morgan couldn't work out why England didn't bowl Rashid earlier. And he was shown to be right. FTB was clueless against Rashid. Sheesh, FTB is pathetic against the ball spinning away.) So now it must be 7 times in 13 innings.
Yup. They confirmed it. FTB's got out to Rashid 7 times in 13 ODI innings at an average of 18.

How long will it take the clueless journos and commentators to realize that FTB is atrocious against the ball spinning away? Not just SLA bowlers, leggies too. (Not hard to see why. His defective technique is to swipe across the line of the ball to legside. Exactly what everyone's coached not to do against the ball moving away.)

The broadcaster said during the Oz v. India game Jadeja has got FTB Smith out 11 times!!! More than any other victim. So FTB is Jadeja's biggest bunny. (Dunno who Jadeja's other bunnies are... Oh... They may've said the next biggest bunny is some WI player... A WI all-rounder?)

The good news for unhinged FTB fanboys is that FTB won't have to face Rashid again this tournament. But he could face Jadeja (and Maharaj and Rabada and Boult...) again. The Oz selectors should grow some and dump him before he ruins Oz's chances.

But about the England game... Wonder whether England mighta won if Buttler had brought Rashid on as soon as FTB came to the crease. He bowled Livingstone before Rashid. E. Morgan didn't like the delay. But Watto (wearing his Oz hat) said he did!!

But a great all-round game from POTM Zampa. FTB Smith is Zampa's bunny too!! But FTB is lucky that he almost never has to face Zampa. Zampa destroyed him in the BBL game Stars vs. Sixers a few seasons ago. Just humiliated him. Shoulda been out 1st ball nicking. Shoulda been out 6th ball. (Zampa's own fault there, a dropped c&b.) Was out 7th ball, plumb LBW.

Nissanka plays it on - driving outside off with his bat at 45 degrees and no footwork. SL 3/72.

SL 5/200 from 36.2 overs. Asalanka 67*.

I see that Angelo Matthews was dismissed "timed out" from 0 deliveries. How does that happen in 2023 in a professional sport?

6/213, now. Asalanka still there, so all is not lost (yet).

Just saw this happening.

Said to be the first time ever, a batsman being given out, in this fashion.

Looks like Mathews got out to the crease ok but, whilst putting on his helmet, the strap broke. He headed back to get another. Shakib appealed (not certain of this but looked like) and Mathews was given out.

He left, fuming. Details aplenty, to follow.

"Angelo Mathews has become the first batter in history to be timed out in international cricket, adding another layer of distrust in the bitter relationship between the Sri Lanka and Bangladesh men's teams.

Mathews threw his helmet in disgust after umpires told him to walk back off the ground only moments after he had gotten to the middle during the World Cup clash in Delhi on Monday afternoon (local time)."
