This video link is to more revelations about the Hannibal Directive. Israel is applying it to the entire Gaza strip, and is deliberately targeting the hostages because they stand in the way of Netahanyu's political goals (annihilating the Palestinian population in Gaza totally, either by massacring them or through ethnic cleansing). The pressure of the hostages'families, calling for a ceasefire, is viewed by the Netahanyu government as a threat to the continuation of the war.

Great to see Iranian extremist religious leaders caught have gay sex. Interesting now that the same clerics want revenge on whoever released the footage - saying that's a greater crime than their butt fornication acts.

^Indeed.

You do worry about human moral maturity, though. No matter how many times you reiterate that you support both sides and the vast majority of people on both sides, even if for different reasons and despite crazies and racists on each, dimwits still demand you choose, as if you're ordering ice-cream.

Israel preparing for a ground invasion of Rafah, on the Egyptian border, where something like 1.7 million civilians (the vast majority of Gaza's population) are currently sheltering with barely any other liveable spaces in the strip remaining. When even the US are asking Israel to stop, you know things are getting grim.

This is old news now. People are getting bored of this, as they are the Ukraine conflict. They've moved on to other things and war and death has now become the norm.

It's a good lesson in human sensitivity to things. How much exposure to horror is needed until humans ceases to really care anymore?

Do protests still attract anyone.

do you really think protesters actually sway people onto their side these days?

Way way back when protest marches started happening, the level of available information compared to now was infinitesimal. By protesting, people could bring their issue to the public, get it written about in media and sway people to their cause.

Nowdays all they do is get pats on the back from their colleagues and like minded people and piss everyone else off. No one who is ambivalent about climate change is going to suddenly become passionate about the cause because some dimwit glues their hands to a road, they're far more likely to be waiting for a B double to come through and see what happens.

Meanwhile, half a world away from Gaza, anti semitism is on the rise under the guise of supporting Palestine.
