What, for NZ, would a "better 100th Test" look like against Australia? Will Williamson improve on his series average of 4.5 or will he end the series with a lower series average than Southee (who is averaging 4)? Will Southee get a wicket - if so, will he average under 69 with the ball in this Test? Those are the questions sane New Zealanders are presently asking themselves.

Cummins sent them in, on a typically shameful NZ road. Crazy call. 0/29.

Hazlewood has 3/18. Nothing in the pitch - NZ facing their time-worn challenge, yet again: no technique, no footwork and no batsmen.
