I enjoyed the Irish crime drama Kin enough to binge it. Not super, but still pretty solid.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

The second installment of Vigil is very good. The main two female actors are quality.
If you want a good cop series set in Manchester, Suranne Jones was also in Scott and Bailey 10-15 years ago, which I think was underrated.

^^Enjoyed season 2 of Vigil. I have now started watching "True Detective" Season 1, working my way through to the latest season. I like the Reacher Series as he's built like the book, not 5 feet nothing Tom Cruise even though Cruise is the better actor. Will download Fargo Season 5 and watch that at some point as well. RRRRR

^You just reminded me: the new Jodie Foster iteration of True Detective is out on Jan 14 (at least over here).

These are not new, but I was impressed by a French cop show called Spiral some years back (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477507/), so we chanced our arm with another called Astrid, which is also great (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11950864/).
It had the potential to go wrong as it's based on a friendship between a cop and an autistic woman who worked in the records office (Astrid), but so far it seems to have been tastefully and pleasantly handled. Naturally, there's some stereotyping and over-acting, but that didn't deter me.
If you struggle with sub-titles, the trick is to start by focusing mostly on the sub-titles and watching the film peripherally and when there's no dialogue. Once you've done that for a bit switching and choosing when to focus where it becomes easier and much more automated.
It's hard enough to find good shows, so it can be worth one's while to throw in some of the better shows from other countries.

I've downloaded Population 11 and halfway through, it's enjoyable.
3rd Body Movement, I like it but wanted an ending but it continues into Season 2.
Boy Swallows Universe is great.
SAS Rogue Heroes is very enjoyable and amazingly AC/DC songs are included.
Slow Horses Season 1 is great. Yet to watch Season 2.

In the process of watching season 2. Loved the first one and loving the second.think positive wrote:Physical 100, it’s not quite squid games! It’s a reality show form Korea, it’s bloody brilliant! They are so supportive of each other, and I picked the winner of season 2 when he was running the manual treadmill in the first challenge.,
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm

You know when series start well and then lose the plot? The first season was great, but....pietillidie wrote:These are not new, but I was impressed by a French cop show called Spiral some years back (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477507/), so we chanced our arm with another called Astrid, which is also great (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11950864/).

Am I erring by saying that given spoiler rules, or has society finally outgrown that?
