The crystral ball challenge

Post by paul »

How about a bit of harmlees fun for all of we supporters starved of action?

I have set up an e-mail address for readers of Nick's BB to send their predictions for the coming season.

Some predictions could be:

1 How many games we win.
2 where we finish on the ladder.
3 How many senior games will Josh Fraser play.
4 Who will be our top 3 goalkickers.
5 Who will be the top 5 in the Copeland trophy.
6 How many times will Foxy post extolling the talents of Wasley.
7 In what round will there be a post calling for the coach and/or committee to stand down.
8 How many articles praising Collingwood will Mike Sheehan write.
9 In what round will people declare that we have turned the corner.
10 Which of the draftees will play the most games.
11 What will be our highest winning margin.
12 When will I learn to uses question marks?

Make up your own categories (serious or fun). If you have a good category post it on the BB so that everyone can have a go.

The season will finish in August this year so we will need something to keep us amused over the long off season.

So to the hundreds of people who read this BB, polish up you crystal balls and joim the fun.

The address is pievotes99@hotmail.com

Hey Paul!
Nice idea, however why don't you setup and email adress at www.start.com.au
its an Australian Free Email Service and alot faster than hotmail, yahoo mail, or whatever. Just an idea!

Good ideas all, but how about using our own domain. I can set up pievotes99@magpies.org.au so that it redirects to you Paul - let me know.

Talking about email addresses, I offered addresses at magpies.org.au a couple of seasons ago for $10 / year and never got any takers. The offer is still open if anyone is interested. The address would be a redirect - i.e. you will need an existing email account and any mail that comes into your magpies.org.au account would be redirected to your existing account.

PNS

I have been called, amongst many things, sly, but no I am not THE Sly.

I may be one of the few people tp whom Sly does not claim to be related. (Joking Sly).

I look forward to receiving everyones predictions.

Thanks for the techical input Nick.

THe adress is reactivated now, but I'm happy Nick's idea of posting to the Magpies site.

By the way Pie No Sauce, I'm not Kanga just because I post replies to my own posts.:-)

I'm fairly happy with my predictions, I would say at a guess I will get 5/6 correct.

I'm especially confident in the rookie I've selected to play the most games for us.

After an initial flurry, the number of people willing to put their judgements to the test has dwindled. Its not too late.

For those of you who enjoy the shorter term predictions I found the following website. www.profooty.com.au allows you to download a footy tipping program for free. I've downloaded one for family and friends. This year it is free for both PC and network versions. Have a look.

Nick - I know what you are thinking - but check with Mike before you make any promises about a tipping contest for this site.:-)

This week is your last chance to register your predictions.

Another topic has been suggested.

Who will be the first Collingwood nominee for the Norwich Rising Star?

I'm going for a roughie - Ben Johnson
