I believe that when we bet them in round 23 last year and knocked them out of the finals that we psychologically broke this mob.
Prior to that, they had belief in Voss and the system, this year they're playing like they've lost that belief and are uncertain of what to do.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
I suspect that had a lot to do with how the game went early. We played our game and they weren’t sure what to do. I assume there were some stern words at half time by Voss probably as was the case in Rnd 23 last season. They had a crack and we were ready. In Rnd 23 they kick 8 in the 3rd where as yesterday they probably had similar momentum but we turned it into an arm wrestle and only conceded 1 goal.
That was what most impressed me. We can’t play sexy exciting footy all the time, when we are allowed and have momentum yes but I like how when it was against the flow we wrestled and made it hard for them to score and maintained the buffer we got in the 1st half.

Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy.

Nothing better than beating them especially when they are above us on the ladder.
Smug supporters think they are kings because they have won a few games. I reminded a few tonight they haven’t achieved anything in nearly 30 years.

And, along with the Dees, we knocked em out the previous season too.
Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

This may not quite be a complete list (I've been going through the records player by player but I may possibly have missed one or two who played fewer games but had an exceptional record against Carlton)* but anyway:
Players who have played in most wins for Collingwood over Carlton, all-time:
Pendlebury 22
Sidebottom 19
Ben Johnson 16
Gordon Coventry 16
Travis Cloke 15
Swan 15
Jock McHale 14
Jamie Elliott 13
Le Hughes 13
Lou Richards 13
Percy Wilson 13
Tony Shaw 13
Merrett 12
Tarrant 12
Ted Rowell 12
Maxwell 12
Jack Crisp 12
Syd Coventry 12
Kyne 12
Len Thompson 12
Didak 11
H 11
Leon Davius 11
Charlie Dibbs 11
Harry Collier 11
Peter Daicos 11
Wayne Richardson 11
You'd think Perndlebury's Club record will stand nearly forever. Just imagine what it might have been if we'd been allowed to play Carlton twice a year in all the seasons they have been sh&t.
* Just a reminder - this is only wins for Collingwood, so, eg, Tuddy doesn't make the list because he won a few for Essendon against them etc. One of the old-time players (maybe Hughes?) had more wins againsgt Carlton than are in this table but a couple of them came after he left the 'pies.

Correct.What'sinaname wrote:I think we're now 16 wins from the past 20 games.
Since 2013 = 16 wins, 4 losses (20 games) = 80.0% winning record
Since 2009 = 21 wins, 6 losses (27 games) = 77.8% winning record
Since 2006 = 25 wins, 9 losses (34 games) = 73.5% winning record
Since 2000 = 31 wins, 15 losses (46 games) = 67.4% winning record
