i remember this day so clearly...i was 5!
i had streamers going and everything!
it was great!!
i cant believe how clear it still is...and i hardly remember anything.....i also remember that i was swinging my streamers around wildly and hit the ceiling fan..oops!
lets hope that feeling comes back to us all soon...very soon!
that'd make me a very happy girl!

I was 19. Perfect age for celebrating and partying. I was in complete heaven. I stood still in the middle of Vic Park at the end of the day and thought "If they never do this again, I don't care. THIS IS IT!!!!" How wrong I was. I want it again. I want lots more of that feeling.
11 years? Oh man.............how fast that's gone.
Colours are an illusion. There is only black and white.

I was at home (in Sydney) screaming my lungs out watching the game on tv with my family screaming at me to shut up.
As soon as the game was over I rang my sisters boyfriend (fellow Pie supporter and the only one I knew at the time) in Melb and we had one of them emotional type of conversations where you have tears running down your face. "Bert, Bert, we won" were my first words as he answered the phone. (As if he didn't know!!!!) LOL
Go Pies!

Don't ask yourself what the club needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and go do that, because what Collingwood needs right now is people who have come alive.

I was in the 5th row of the cheer squad and at the 25 minute mark of the last quarter my buddy and I cracked open the two bottles of champagne we'd snuck into the ground (you'd have no hope these days!). And then proceeded to cry our eyes out until the players came over to us and we realised everyone around us was swilling our champagne!!!
We stopped at every bottle shop from the MCG to Flinders St and then it was a non-stop party at Vic Park.
Goodness knows how we got home but who cared! I think I even wore my top hat & tails for the next three days - catching up with everyone I knew who had ever bagged my beloved Pies! What a weekend!!!

I was lucky - my dad was able to get my sister and I tickets to the game. It was fantastic (understatement!!!).
Afterwards, my friends (not collingwood supporters) refused to go to Vic Park with me so we went to the Downunder(!) instead. The Essendon cheersquad was there - I took great delight in getting up on stage by myself and singing the Collingwood song. Ah, the memories...

i was 5 too. all my family were at my house, and being the spoilt little shit i am, i cracked the sads because i wasnt getting any attention while the game was on.
so i sat teary eyed in my room watching the game.
that night at victoria park was the best football night of my life. all the players, the premiership cup, and the place full of drunken collingwood supporters so happy.
what i would give to have this all over again......
