One loss could lead to 2, 3 & so on…

We should’ve won tonight, I didn’t think we would, but I didn’t think we’d be in front at every change except when it counts.

I hope that pr1xk Darcy gets 6wks!

All I see is more safe as shit Presti garbage.

Dogs were missing Naughton, Weightman, Libba, Richards, Smith… yet we want to blame OUR injury toll? Pathetic.

Sickening result.

If we’re not careful we’ll be North’s first victim.
Our injury toll Is way worse than theirs. No key forwards for a start. How are you supposed to win games without them?

We’ll go into the bye 7-2-6.
Top 4 is long long gone but if we have our full squad, there is zero reason we can’t win it from as far back as 8th!
Not panicked, just disappointed we didn’t get the job done last week. Melbourne will be a smacking.

They were missing:

Naughton
Weightman
Richards
Smith
Libba

Yet we want to cry foul with OUR omissions???

Please. Fly is stubborn coach and his tactics are obsolete now.

Look at the stats for 4th quarters:

Haw
Port
WCE
Adel
Frem
WB

We led in all of them at 3/4 time

Geez a win tonight would have been huge. But what an effort from 90% of the players out there.

The Kings Bday game is now massive and we might get a few players back.

lost at selection table

frampton back
Howe Forward
Steele forward
Markov back

Pre-game fly was talking about how the "ins" would all be ready as they practiced the game plan in the VFL to play their role/position.

has anyone seen markov play forward in the VFL?
lol

We gave them momentum back too often, with free kicks and missed handballs.

In the last I think 3 of their goals came from silly free kicks in the middle of the ground.

Frampton needs to play on the backline. Throw anyone else in the ruck.
No forward line hurts, Markov and Johnson will not win games.

Amazing that we coulda/shoulda won.

The Dees could be a blow out, the bye can't come fast enough.

110%. If we ever needed evidence about Frampton's abilities forward, go back to the GF 2023. He should have been on Darcy the whole night. Howe Forward as they did against Eagles to good effect till injured, Markov at half back and Steele on a wing vs him getting 12 cheap kick in stats that went nowhere!

Reflecting on it further, we didn’t make the most of our first quarter dominance.

5.7.37 instead of 9.3.57 or 10.2.62 is what ultimately cost us. Kick a score in the 50s by QT and the Dogs might have been out of reach from catching us.

Shall we sack him then and get a coach with new tactics?

Yes we had injuries but the game plan is just not on with this list at present. Trying to close games out with a quarter to go. Please. And frampton should have been back. Moore is struggling better to put him forward in the last.

With the second worst injury list of the comp, only Tigers is worse, this was predictable, we have simply run out of soldiers. No doubt the yellow maggots got the Dogs back in, gave em hope, just as they did last week, de ja vu again, from the maggot brigade. Plus match is at shithole marvel, supposed to be home match for us , a venue I utterly loathe, dogs home ****.WHY ???? We should have booted 3 more goals in the 1st, our makeshift forward line not good, least Shulz had a go . Season not over yet, maybe lose close one to the Dees, then Nth, beat them, then the Bye. Get some senior blokes back post Bye, and load up an go again. Long way to go yet. Least we did have a red hot crack, but as I said, ran out of soldiers. I dont think ol Bevo can take much out of the Dogs effort.

What we got to see tonight was an audit on:

1. F Macrae: simply an awful and slow footballer devoid of a single redeeming quality. Despite being contracted next year, cut our losses for a third rounder. Staggering Hine picked him ahead of Max Holmes!!

2. J Bytel: franked his inability to hit a target 25 metres away twice and once against Eagles only perpetuating Saints fans chagrin that he cannot play.

3. A Johnson: an abomination and despite a year to go on his contract, the club should do what the Eagles did with Zac Langdon and payout his last year of his deal and say goodbye tomorrow. A truly embarrassing blight on our DNA.

4. J Noble: the return of the brain farts that only served to confirm Fly's lack of 2023 trust in him, leading to 4 goals against tonight.
