Not many changes this week, but I finally have us in the top 8 (even if our performance against Essendon was a little underwhelming):
Round 7
1. Geelong
2. Sydney
3. GWS
4. Melbourne
5. Carlton
6. Port Adelaide
7. Fremantle
8. Collingwood
9. Western Bulldogs
10. Gold Coast
11. Essendon
12. Brisbane
13. St Kilda
14. Adelaide
15. Richmond
16. West Coast
17. Hawthorn
18. North Melbourne
At present, I reckon there's a clear top 6 followed by another group of 6 to 9 teams hovering around the midway mark. Would be good to see us get some separation on them over the next few weeks.

No one can lay claim to out right flag fav at the moment.
If any it would be gws and cats then the rest.
Think Pies are working thier way into the season.
2025 allready for the likes of richmond hawthorn north and eagles.
After the say the crows game or north game Pies should be top 4 lets say north game.
Long way to go. Enjoy the ride.
Cant see Freo lasting long there and Carlton are starting to drop off a tad.

Tricky one to work out this week with so many upsets and close calls, particularly from 2nd spot down to around 6th. If we’d had a more convincing win against Adelaide I might have considered putting us 2nd or 3rd, but in the end I think 4th is about right.
9th to 13th is another super tight cluster at the moment. I’m not convinced on Essendon yet and think that 2nd is way overs for where they’re actually at. Sometimes teams build momentum off soft draws and start living up to their ladder position, but I have a feeling it won’t be the first time we see Essendon fall apart in the second half of the year. They and the Giants are the two most vulnerable teams in the top 8 I reckon.

^ Essendon is too high. They beat GWS in the middle of a slump, drew with a 5-day break Collingwood, lost to the other 2 teams they've played in the 8 and otherwise beat the teams ranked 18th, 16th, 15th, 14th, 13th and 11th. They get to play the team ranked 17th this week, so they can complete that set. We won't really have much idea about Essendon until rounds 16 to 18. They have a very soft draw and may be gifted a top 4 spot - but they haven't closed the gap on the good teams.

The form ladder is a similar concept to the Fox Sports Power Rankings. Here's their ranking after round 10. Pies in 2nd spot.
