We're 5/1 behind just Swans 5/2 & Blues 9/2..... Giants are the only other side at single figure odds.

Roll North and come out of the bye with about 6 more options to throw in the mix... Hope ya's listened when I said soak up the 9/1 about 8 weeks ago.
Take your point.
But we have been smashed by injuries.
So odds of 5/1 for the Pies right now are just money gouging for Sportsbet etc.
Given our injury list, we should still be considered a wild card.

Commiserations Piesnchess. I love dogs and it is always a sad occasion when a beloved member of your family dies. May he rest in peace.

The selectors will have a headache who to select when we reach the other side of the bye with maybe 6 players returning. It will be exciting to see our run home towards the finals.
I predict we will end up 2nd on the ladder.

Assuming no more injuries, you may well be right about this prediction.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

Exactly.

Looking at; our remaining games (7 at the G), with the personnel to come back after the bye and the proven reinforcements we have unveiled through this period, I can't see us missing the top 4.

5/1 is still overs in my book (I'd have us just behind the Swans at 3's).
Don't count the days, make the days count.

He continues to fill gaps playing various roles until the cavalry arrive. He and W H E continue to be the most under appreciated of our senior group, unless you’re one of the coaches of course.
Lipinski has been good all season and WHE is another player who is underrated. Completely agree with you.

Watching the replay now. Enjoying Sargeant Schult uncontested mark and goal at the start of the second quarter too. When he pumps those stocky arms in the air, OMG how much does Schultz look like Eric Bana transforming into the Hulk. You can’t unsee this once you’ve seen it.

A good win.
- So good to see Kreuger do well.
- Daicos and Crisp were fabulous as always
- And great to see the crowd get so involved cheering Maynard every time he got the ball, and booing May.

But the Dees were very bad and inaccurate in front of goal. 6 goals 15 behind meant the Dees wasted any opportunity to put us under pressure or have momentum. Looking at the score tracker the Dees never got in front during the entire match. Not sure what is wrong with Fritsch.

Hopefully we get the job done next week and then come out of the bye with a munch stronger team with more key players back from injury.

I'm not so sure that Cox will be guaranteed spot in our team, particularly if Dean, Krueger and Frampton continue to play well. Cameron has demonstrated, he has the tank to hold down the ruck almost single-handedly, with just brief support from Frampton and Krueger. Once Checkers returns, I'd rather have Krueger than Cox.

Nevertheless, if available, we are sure to include Pendles, JDG, Mitchell, Elliott, Checkers, and let's not forget the exciting 'Smokin' Joe Richards.
