Haff thinks the universe revolves around him, and by him being negative we win. Then when you call him out on his BS he PMs you and is threatening.the fuzz wrote:Just yell at the game or yell at the TV!Haff wrote:^ Appreciate it Piedys. I’m good with how I barrack.
I don’t like when we get to this thread and this stuff takes over. Rather talk about the game.
Don’t write it down!!!

That was unbelievable. This will take the bye for me to recover, let alone the players. What can you say? What a team.

I'm not capable of tolerating complacent footballers; if i'm not seeing 100% buy-in from players to the task at hand, then i'm off the leash.

Watch his and Bruzza's interviews on the telly if you get the chance. Absolutely superb and everything we love about the club. Bruzza's is next-level emotional as he lost a mate as well. Incredible lads.Charlie Oneeye wrote:I cant remember Nicks exact words, but heard his post match interview on radio"

That coming out of such a young man left me gobsmacked.

I just had a read through the match day thread and some of it is pretty pathetic.
And Shawthing; in REAL time, yes those comments are wrong. Nothing worse than when I go to the footy and I end up sitting near some fellow Collingwood ‘supporter’ who just bags our players all day for making mistakes. We all get emotional during a game, and you pay your money so you can say what you like, but that’s not supporting our boys. Doing it in the matchday thread is the same thing, but your comments are permanent.
As for today’s umpires, I had no problem with them. I reckon we got away with a fair few today; e.g Nick D holding the ball right in front of Norths goal at a critical time in the match.
As for today’s commentators I also had no problem. It’s understandable in a game between the reigning Premier AFL powerhouse and the perennial cellar-dweller, broke club, that they are gunna barrack a bit for the underdog, especially when they were totally dominant and on the cusp of the upset of the season. I can cop that.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men...
Can we get this thread back on track?
Positives
Comeback for the ages lead by Naicos.
Fwds found a way!
Bobby huge.
Schultz beat return for the season. Looks to be clicking.
Got though to the bye 3rd but with an extra game up our sleeves.
Cavalry is coming!
No new injuries.
Negatives
Couldn’t absorb their pressure. Got on top when they dropped off and the horrendous sub call.
Young mids were soundly beaten in the first half.
McRae just isn’t the answer, papers stamped?
Darcy Moore’s form is worrying for mine. Gets some respite as the mids not doing their job didn’t help.
All in all after our 0-3 start you’d take this all day long.

The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

The problem is you don’t understand the modern game, and you abuse players whose roles you have no idea of what they are. We were down because of our structure. Frampton should have started back. Howe up forward and Reef as a starting forward not the sub. Jaith should have been the sub. Once we made those changes and tweaked the centre players, the game turned. Modern football is a very momentum oriented game, you can’t play 100% for 4 quarters.piedys wrote:I make no claims to being Patron Saint of Balanced Barracking.Haff wrote:^ Appreciate it Piedys.
