We will need to improve considerably if we are to challenge this year.

We won’t be challenging, don’t worry.
Usual negative Nancy comment while a loss is still raw. We were crap tonight and still nearly pinched it. Not sure what you think about the endeavour and talent of this group but to suggest that we aren’t in the race for the Premiership up to our ears, after what this side has done in the last three seasons is just dumb. We’ll be there at the business end, mark my words.

Leading possession getters:

Noah Anderson; 39

Sam Flanders [who?]; 33

Nick Daicos; 32

Touk Miller; 31

Ben Ainsworth [wtf?]; 28

Will Graham [huh?]; 22

This is what happens when you bludge through a first half [the Pauperoos game says Hi], and let B-grade flogs run all over you.
More second half catch-up football bullshit; like the wasted Buckley years.

This was a carbon copy of last round, against a better midfield this time.

Too much pill bombarding the backline, while the midfield bludges and dog trots around the park. Defence held up well considering the number of I50 conceded, but eventually the dam wall always breaks.

You are the reigning premier - lift your f@cking game.

Extremely frustrating to watch especially when you know how talented he is.
No chance. He might have over played a few but he had them shitting themselves all night and should have received a bunch of frees that they were getting at the other end

They Bye curse, plus few of our guys bit rusty after long lay off, injured, it happens. Suns sharks at home, unbeatable, but minnows away, real typical franchise Qld team, all fizz an no substance. Move on now, we have tough matches coming up, learn from this defeat, learn lessons, and move on quickly.

Im not making excuses because we didnt play to our best ability, HOWEVER the ball seemed to spill free to a Suns player 90 % of the time whereby it couldve landed dribbled bounced to our players instead. Even quick kicks forward can land luckily to one of our players but they didnt!!

Suns ball handling and contested possession was pretty elite too, so that didnt help when the ball kept on sticking in their hands.

Suns deserved the win but geeez we did well to lead in the final minutes.

Noble concussion protocol and Maynard corked leg[/quote]
FFS, that is really a bitter blow with JFN out on concussion protocols.
Hopefully, Bruzza will be OK (??)
Losing two in the final quarter was clearly a bridge too far. Almost achieved the impossible though (hit the front at the 20 minute mark, from the score worm).
Yes, being so far down at 3/4 time was an issue, but the come back was fantastic, and it was at an obscure ground that only the Suns have any familiarity with.
We need to think about how our defence structures up...maybe Dean gets a chance now to return.

This game will steel us, and the flame will burn throughout this week.

thankgod the team and coaches don’t have your attitude. Quitters never prosper

They did quit in the end & they didn’t prosper, if they didn’t, they would’ve won.

Exactly Big T. The timing is a fine line and Bobby was slightly off tonight. Are you suggesting Slangman that Bobby changes his style? The style that probably won us the GF last year and last weeks game just to name two? Really, some of you so called supporters need a red card or a self-imposed ban from commenting immediately after a loss.

I didn’t see us quit, we had 2 on the bench and ran ourselves into the ground. Got what you neckless fools, you are an embarrassment.

Bobby did OK, Lady Luck wasn’t his friend today, shitty bounces, he passed when he shouldn’t, but he’s selfless that’s why.

you’re a pain in the ar*e champ. People have always expressed how they feel on Nicks, particularly after a loss. It’s not for all to conform to your expectation of how one should feel and articulate their thoughts. If you want that, go back to BigFooty.

That’s your opinion, I call it as I see it.

You think we can win the flag, that’s good for you.
I think we’re off the pace this year.

Look at the matches we got coming up, in a tight season we need every win, our % is also nothing to write home about.

Really disappointing loss tonight.I thought we were going to win when we hit the lead with abiut four minutes to go,then they overran us again.

Honestly, you can expect to win games playing just one good quarter of football. It’s something that needs to be addressed,as well as our defence which is leaking so many easy goals.

And fumbling doesn’t help either.I lost count of the times our players just couldn’t pick the ball up properly, and just coughed it up to the opposition..It cost us goals, probably enough to lose the match.
