At this early stage of the week, I'm keen to get Schultz and McInnes back into the forward line against the Bombers. Hopefully Maynard is able to recover in time but that looked a nasty cork thigh and he is the perfect match-up to Stringer.
Essendon are playing Harry Jones on a wing so put Moore there is an attempt to turn his game around and give us a viable option to kick to. Big ask for Darcy to lift his game and lead from the front as he has failed to do for a while now.
B: Maynard, Frampton, Dean
HB:Quaynor, Howe, Markov
C: Moore, Degoey, J.Daicos
HF: Richards, Mihocek, Hill
F:Schultz, Kruger, Hoskin-Elliot
R:Cameron, Crisp , N.Daicos
IC: Sidebottom, Pendlebury, Harrison, Lipinski
Sub: McInnes
Out: McCreery, Noble, Sullivan
In: Dean, McInnes, Schultz

People calling for Moore to move, when was the last time he was played outside the back 6?

Howe has been the break glass forward option for some time, and with good results

Out:
McCreery (calf looking at 2 weeks)
Sullivan (omit)
potentially Noble but did not sustain any injury as reported from last night just didnt play well

In:
Shultz
Reef
Either Josh Eyre or Harry DeMattina to debut

My line up:

FB: IQ Frampton Howe
CB: Crisp Maynard Pendles
C: Lipinski Shultz WHE
CF: Hill Moore Kruger
FF: Harrison Checkers Reef
R: Cameron De Goey Nick Daicos
INT: Eyre Dean Oleg Richards
SUB: Side

My obersvations from both the north and suns games is that we allow other teams to gain it on thier terms way to easy and its a case of us having to battle back into the match.
Like us in the essendon game ot get busy early and get dirty sort of speak.
Make it a hard tussle from the first second.
im done with allowing the first easy 3 goals of the match.
Im done with these starts.
i knew suns would win it as we werent switched on.
Also just thought that Pendles Checkers and DeGoey would take up the slack.
It aint that so.
I feel the following players are on the cusp of been omitted:
lipinksi Josh Daicos even Noble and to some extent Moore.
This essendon match a case of win or just pack up and go home.
A real line in the sand match.
No time for excuces or anything.
Loose i feel we will just be making up the numbers if we make finals.
In a way another hard week on the training track beckons.
A must win match friday night.
Im done with this up and down season.
Talk about unable to breath easy.
Every match has been a real battle.
I really dont think we will get to the lofty heights of 2023.
To much of a ebb and flow type of season.
Eb and flow ill call it. On and off like a tap.
In this one a must win for the Pies by 17 points.
Again this wont be easy.
We are due to start our season finally.

I'm with him, Rudey - and you can add Nick Daicos: there were times when I felt that he just wasn't as tall as I'd like.

We only have 2 weeks to sort our shit out

Hawks

Reprieve and then

Carlton
Sydney
Brisbane

in successive weeks will make or break the year.

Our smaller players have been the saviour this year. Our KP players have been terrible (both KP forwards and backs).

Quaynor wasn't well against the Suns. Probably should have had a rest.

Agree with others:

In: Shoota, Dean

Out: Noble, Mcreery

Richards is starting 22. I would say as a smokey Allen could deserve another game.

Edit: Ned Long deserves a shot too I think.

Essendon are rightly having a go at the umpiring, so expect some charity.

Did noble pass his concussion test or does he miss this week?

^^^
I heard on the Fox half time Sunday arvo update that Noble is ruled out with concussion. McCreery to miss as expected but no mention of any Maynard injury.

Need to win this, otherwise our top 4 hopes will start to evaporate. Fly's body language in the post-match presser suggests he'll be demanding a big performance this weekend.

I'm pretty optimistic after De Goey, Pendles and Checkers all got through the Gold Coast game unscathed. They'll be better for the run.

IN: Schultz, Dean
OUT: McCreery, Noble

What'sinaname, if you think the Hawks will be a reprieve then you haven't been concentrating. They've won 5 games in a row.

The reprieve is the Richmond game in-between
