The problem we’re seeing now is that the multiple medium term injuries are leaving us with less to pick from with every fresh injury we pick up. It becomes very difficult to get ahead of the curve because we are likely to lose a few more over the next few weeks before that next wave of players are available once again ( Elliot, Cox, Mitchell, McStay, McCreery ) If we don’t get a couple injury free weeks very shorty, we’re going to continue to chase our “ availabilities “tail for the rest of this season.

Definitely feels like a revolving door at the moment. At this stage, we only have nine players who've played every game for us this season, and two of those (Maynard and Josh Daicos) are in doubt to play this week.

On MMM this morning they said Cameron had been cleared of broken ribs just bruising.

"But foxfooty.com.au can confirm Cameron was only taken to hospital for precautionary reasons after he hurt himself in the same area at training during the week, having been cleared of serious damage."
Assume he will be a test this week.

So latest update and it’s good news AT THIS STAGE. Cameron is only bruised rib(s) and Quaynors toe didn’t even require a scan when it settled down. They may yet miss a week but that’s about it for those two.

That's a huge worry!mattdally wrote:From Mitch Cleary:
Jeremy Howe in for scans this arvo after failing to finish today’s training session.
With Brody Mihocek’s H&A season done, Howe is hugely important for the Pies’ run home.
Howe is due to speak to media shortly.
I think therefore I think - I think
Wow, at 35 he [Howe] shouldnt be so 'hugely important'. If he goes down with injury, that is a shame, surely we have someone to replace him. I mean this has to be his last season.mattdally wrote:From Mitch Cleary:

if we are that relient on a 35 year old for this year, we might as well pull up stumps on the year now.
