Sydney did what we did prior to 2010, with Jolly & Ball.
They scored Grundy & Adams, bastards!
Didn’t help them much today. Adams will make way for Mills in the finals.
Loved Tay, the heroic Magpie warrior, and was really sad that he left...but now I see his departure was actually necessary for our list.
He is another veteran, and we need to start finding their replacements.
With Tay leaving, that process was forcibly initiated.
The absence of Titch for an extended period has accelerated that process....

I am against the Cats.
We will win
Genuinely interested why you think this.
I think we will beat the cats because we will no doubt be hurting after 2 losses in a row. We usually match up very well against them.
We will be fired up and switched on. That's when we bring the pressure. That's how we win games.
Look, it's just a feeling. Doesn't mean anything. I just reckon we will be up for this.
I actually don’t care if we win or lose. I want to see a four quarter performance and then if they are good enough to get over the line, so be it. Danger and Cameron in form spells trouble. A fake arsey come from behind win after a long mid game drop off will be of no use.
Someone mentioned Macraes hospital handballs in the vfl. Have watched the afl? They all do it pretty much all day.

Maybe Ash as Checkers' replacement might be the only option we have.
Reef has either copped an early injury ( no appearance after half time ) or I’m hoping they have already decided to replace him for Miochek and they simply cut his game time short because of the five day turnaround. That’s one of the reasons I can’t see Smit playing as a possible Cameron replacement. To ask the kid to come up again after a five day turnaround would be throwing him to even more wolves ( although I’m sure he would put his hand up to do so)
Who else has a feeling that 2024 we are actually doing a rebuild in disguse.
Like its occuring right now with out knowing it.
I think 2024 is whats its all about.
A levelling out time and our rebuild.
Look we were never in the premiership window in 2024 that was 2023.
Thats what i think.
Alot of work behind the scenes and we are a work in progress.
Set our sights on 2025 i say.
Assuming IQ toe and Cameron are out bruised ribs then this is my line up.
I think both IQ and Cameron will miss.

^ If it is, it is a rebuilding against the clubs will, far too much falls on the plus 30 brigade.
That is still my big worry for the future, our trend on current path is south not north i am reffering to 2025 on, too many 30+ holding the fort...at the age output only get worse not better.
Coincidentally, the side we are playing this week has precisely the same issue with team age as Collingwood do, too much left to the older players.
This week is the battle of the over-ages

SEN and I agree Collingwood football club had become a Collingwood hospital club
They say Pies are a hospital
Far and Away having the most injury plagued season of all time including the other teams
They say nothing compares with what we have

We had that shocking run in mid 2018 too, yet still almost pulled it off...
Only had Elliott, Moore, Reid and Dunne missing by September.
And J.Daicos not selected...
I'm starting to wonder if the 2018 list, Nick Daicos aside, was actually better than 2023/2024...

Mayne was a gun back then. Pendlebury had a broken bone from memory. Goldsack was our full back on Kennedy and Dunn who always had the measure of Darling, wasn't available. Just one shed of luck and Buckley would have been a premiership coach.
