It seems to be the pattern, the premiers are worked out the following year and do not do well. Also the game is so tough, not giving 100%, as clearly is the case, means a 10 goal loss. Too much celebrating and Leigh Matthews was correct. The season is done and dusted. But I am still happy we won last year, it is just such a shock how quickly we have come down.

So I’m wondering if the Frank honest discussions we had a couple weeks ago put a few noses out of joint? Some players look disinterested and not connecting like we used to. If they’re that soft and can’t have an honest chat with coaches and teammates about pulling your socks up, then bugger off.

He’s not 100% injury wise mate. Shouldn’t even be playing, but our season can’t get any worse if his groin completely goes

Said it weeks ago but you can not expect to be top four when you’ve used 40 players on your list by July due to injuries. It’s caught up to us today

This coming off season might be the most momentous in Collingwood's history. With a list cupboard bare. Player retirements: Howe, Sidey, Mitchell and even Pendles might consider it now. Young kids not coming on. No serious draft picks. Loss of the premiership aura means we also slip down the "destination club" ranks. I think we are in crisis, and it is stupid to think otherwise. They are not going to magically turn it on like last year in 2025. Fly might be in the gun by the end of that season because I think we'll be bottom four next year.
