Small forwards are plentiful they are just midfielders who are short fast and generally start out lightly built
Basically normal sized footballers who were really good as juniors but never gained those extra cm's to be recruited as mids in the AFL

Given that Richards has been, by far, the most impressive of our newbies this year, it puzzles me that we would drop him this week, instead of promoting him to the starting 22. In light of reports that he is mulling over Collingwood's offer of just a one year extension, and considering other offers, particularly one from Port, I suspect his papers may already be stamped. If Collingwood thinks he is leaving, then I guess they see no reason to enhance his development, when they could be doing it with another young player. Of course, I may be completely off track, and he may end up signing on with us, but the signs are not good. That would be a shame as he is a super skilled player.

If all this speculation is true, ok but if he’s in our best 23 players and we’re 2 wins and percentage from 8th with a tough game against Brisbane and a chance against Melbourne, why would we drop him even if he’s got interested parties elsewhere.

It’s either a 50-50 call, a policy on subs not playing minutes, or he’s not good enough to make the 23. From what I’ve seen across the season, I’m surprised he’s not in the 22 and that Schultz, Noble and Bytel are.

I’m rapt for Parker, he’s got something no doubt but so has Joe if we’d give him more than 45seconds.

What a coup; we've set our sites on another waddling spud, who will no doubt be painted as first-rounder waiting to blossom at another club by Didickhead at Dopers.

Will we all pass the hat around to chip in for another 1kg tub of anal lube for the upcoming trade period?

I think Shultz will settle into the team better next season and play his role more confidently. He will surprise many Nicksters.

Yes I reckon you might be right Lazza on 2025 and I want the Eric Bana lookalike to do well also. Still reckon he’s lucky this week.

Surely you aren’t suggesting Dyso that we will be reamed in the trade period by Dodoro? Surely that’s fantasy! I’d say we won’t offer more than two future first rounders for a clear star of the comp like Hobbs.

Port asking for 2 first rounders. That absolutely puts us out of it.

@piedys @Big T Regarding Hobbs, what do you think the trade would actually be. It's not going to be a first round pick. What would the trade need to be for you to actually think about it?

We can just as easily offer Richards a 3 year deal, if that is what Port are offering. Given that half our team will retire in the next year or two, it appears to be a non brainer if you rate Joe Richards.

So, it looks like we do not rate him very highly.
