Stringer would be a good pick-up for a minimum outlay, but you have to commit to two years with triggers for a possible third. The issue I have with Stringer, his form is erratic and he's all about Stringer. Throw in, do we want another aging player? He's a good fit for the Saints.

The Bombers have apparently said to Jake Stringer, if he can get a better deal elsewhere, more than a one yr contract, they have their blessing for him to look elsewhere, for a longer contract. Thats what Tim Watson has said today, its on. So, he booted 42 goals this season, handy big forward , soooo, WHO WANTS JAKE IN BLACK N WHITE NEXT SEASON ?? Id love to have him, yep !

His %$^%$ as a person outweighs any good he could bring on field.

He is a rolled-gold 40 plus a year goal kicker and can help De Goey by taking the odd centre bounce.
Please get him.

Would also love to see both of Peatling and Alex Davies in Black and White.

The drop-off for mids like Sidey, Pendles, Crisp can be quite quick at the end of their careers- so best be prepared.

One or both of the Whitlock twins would be awesome- could be the Rocca brothers until the next gen Rocca come on line...

I am very bullish about 2025.

A 40-plus a year goal kicker yes, but isn't that like 35 in the first half of the season?

Mind you, being at Essendon, he hasn't had finals wins to look forward to for a very long time...

I'm sure Stringer would help the forward line. He's a proven goal kicker (something we desperately need). If we can get Dan Houston as well that would make a great trade period. At the very least we MUST do something.

How about our first pick and Reef for Jake Stringer ?? Is that acceptable or too bloody much. ?? Just asking.

The only thing I'd be offering Essendon is to take over his contract and nothing more than an output based trigger for an additional year if he performs.
Seriously, we don't need to table anything more.

^ you wouldn’t think he’d leave if the best the market offers is exactly what’s already in front of him.

I’m personally not sure we need to go hard for him, but I acknowledge at his best he is a match winner (1-2 games a year…)
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...

@Piesnchess Appears so!
Here's something to book-mark - Schultz will kick more goals than Stringer in 2025.
