Aussies v. Scots. T20 series.
Re: Aussies v. Scots. T20 series.
Here's an entertaining analysis of the key statistical milestones/records in game 1: https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/sco- ... ge-1449901
Personally, I liked the last 14 balls of Australia's batting powerplay, which went:
3.5 and 3.6 - Head: 6, 4
Over 5 - Marsh: 6, 6, 4, 6, 4, 4
Over 6 - Head: 4, 6, 4, 4, 4, 4.
One interesting stat they didn't mention is that Jarvis bowled the final 4-ball over to end the game and went for 15 runs from those balls. However, his economy rate of 22.5 in that over improved his overall economy rate for the match (the only other over he bowled was the one Marsh belted for 30). His innings figures of 1.4 overs, 0/45 were impressive in their own way. The most runs conceded by a bowler in a T20 international is CAK Rajitha's 0/75 for Sri Lanka against Australia at Adelaide in October 2019 (Australia 2/233 -Warner 100* from 56 balls, Finch 64 from 36 and Maxwell 62 from 28; Sri Lanka 9/99). To put things in perspective, Jarvis was "on target" to go for 108 from 4 overs and Australia's 3/156 from 9.4 overs was on pace for them to reach 322.

Re: Aussies v. Scots. T20 series.
Scotland folded like a pack of cards with a 6/20 collapse in 4 overs to be all out for 126. Inglis was POTM for his 103. He brought up his century in 43 balls - Australia's fastest in T20 history, by 4 balls over the previous record.
