Surely Ned is not allowed to interfere with list management ffs - if so we haven’t learnt a thing from the past debacles of which there were many

Get busy and get Stringer...

Then get Charlie Clarke from the Bulldogs...

Then whoever else we believe will make us a realistic chance to win the flag in 2025...
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

Membrey isn't the sort of player we need either. He's like a poor man's Mihocek. The news is reporting that we're chasing Perryman as a free agent. Perryman is a good player. Some of the others mentioned here are just ridiculous.

Ned might want him “in the gang “ but if Jake has us way down his preference on his list
then that puts a halter on the mechanism

Disturbing tho is the some want / some don’t
Is Ned iron fisting the proceedings at the club
I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right

No wonder we may have backed out.
AFL Integrity has warned Essendon to be vigilant over who it allows into its change rooms after concerns were raised about players’ associates.

It’s believed the Bombers were warned to be aware of associates of recently delisted Bomber Nick Hind, who is known to have a shared friendship group with teammate Jake Stringer.

It’s believed the associates regularly attend Essendon matches and were seen in the Bombers’ rooms more than once this season.

The Herald Sun understands that rival clubs are aware of the situation with Stringer, his friends and AFL Integrity.

After being linked to Collingwood in a possible trade, reports emerged that the Pies have cooled their interest in the dynamic forward.

They discussed it on footy classified. Clubs have been aware of this, and our club has been divided on him in general, Damo even conceeds this would push it over the edge with a hard NO.

I read between the lines re Hind, Jake King, and Stringer’s new mates in Sunshine, and I’m now firmly against getting Stringer. We’d be front page news for all the wrong reasons and we do not want any more controversies than we’ve already had. Gets away with it at Essendon, but it’d go nuclear if he were in black and white.

Yup, looks like he's a traditionalist circa 1999. Don't need him that much and risk looks to be outweighing reward. It may be death by association but the media loves a pie filled story. We have too much riding on our next season to get trainwrecked by a piece of string.

Well, thankfully the Club does. I love a rough diamond, but he ain't it. As they say in the classics, you can't polish a turd.

This Club is evolving more in the past few years than it has in past 20. We've got to have standards to ensure we can promote the right culture in order to attract and retain the best talent.
If we couldn't manage a couple of teenagers over the past few years, then we'd have little chance with Stringer.

After all this I'm pretty certain that he'll be packing his bags for an interstate team, maybe Swans or GC. Hopefully a bit of separation will be what he needs to really focus on his footy and make the most of his life's opportunities.

^couldn't imagine the Swans culture allows him through the door. If is family was relocatable, maybe the GCS, but I can't imagine how difficult that would be in such a short space of time. Stringer would be fine living away from the missus for 6 months though?... Dimma would appear the type of coach that might be able to manage him if he was to get him out of the Melbourne football bubble.
