Yeah, I read about that earlier. Pretty gruesome murders, the guy who is now the prime suspect (thanks to DNA evidence) wasn't even considered at the time as he was a teenager. Fled to Greece 7 years ago when asked to do a DNA test and couldn't be extradited under Greek Law. They had to wait until he went to Rome for a visit to nab him.

Kudos to the Cops for keeping working on a near 40 year old case and to the Journo's who were in the know and kept quiet so as to not jeopardise the case.

Hopefully this is a genuine breakthrough with respect to the Easey St murders. It might provide the families of the victims some much needed closure.

Amazing to think they might have solved the case after nearly 50 years.

I was 19 and sharing a house a couple of streets away and it was an intensely creepy time. I was stunned to hear this news today about this vicious crime.

A number of these certainly brought back some memories.
That 1997 murder of Jane Thurgood-Dove was when I was still living in Melbourne, and I recall it consumed the media for months.
