No - I suspect Richards part of the 3 way deal...
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...
Re: Trade Winds: Dan Houston
Richards, Atkins and Lukosius are the 3 players heading to Port.

Re: Trade Winds: Dan Houston
Got him Houston now a magpie. He’s going to be a massive upgrade for Noble and will definitely make us stronger
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm

Re: Trade Winds: Dan Houston
Sounds more feasible but this is what Jon Ralph wrote:
Collingwood is set to secure Dan Houston and the Tigers will eventually be able to access selections six and 23 for Daniel Rioli under a deal likely to unlock the trade period’s biggest impasse.
Gold Coast, Collingwood and Port Adelaide have made significant ground on a deal that would see the Pies give up their future first-rounder and John Noble but securing Houston.
The Suns would hand over pick Jack Lukosius, 13 and 29 – which would both be handed to Port Adelaide – but will secure both the Pies’ and Port Adelaide’s future first-rounders.
The Suns would initially retain pick 23 and also secure another selection in the 30s to help match a bid for Gold Coast academy player Leo Lombard.
I think therefore I think - I think
Re: Trade Winds: Dan Houston
If this is the deal, then it's all in at Collingwood to give 2025 our very best chance of making a run at the premiership and then the cliff will come with the club forsaking any real involvement in this years draft that has been rated one of the best in years. Hence we have forfeited our involvement in this years and next years draft to secure Lachie Shultz and Dan Houston. Both good players but not key position players??
I'm excited about the potential of Houston adding some extra drive off the half back line and hopefully he will be able to settle into the team structure quickly and maintain his AA form of the past two years.
Just thinking of a likely Round 1 opening line-up for Collingwood is worth getting excited about;
B:Maynard, Moore, Quaynor
HB: Houston, Howe, Perryman
C:Sidebottom, DeGoey, J.Daicos
HF: McCreery, Mihocek, Hill
F:Schultz, McStay, Elliot
R: Cameron, Pendlebury, N.Daicos
IC: Lipinski, Crisp, Hoskin-Elliot, Cox
Sub: Allan
Emerg: Mitchell, Parker, Frampton, Dean

Collingwood Domination. Envy of the Nation!
Re: Trade Winds: Dan Houston
can Dan play round 1? - he got suspended for 5 matches in the second last round, so he has missed the last game of the season, plus Port's three finals, so that is 4 games. Do pre season games count towards susoensions?
Re: Trade Winds: Dan Houston
No, misses just the first one.
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

Justin Leppitsch did say he wanted to tie it up Monday.
Twomey on today's Vid update says it's still in the air. (EDIT: vid released 14:18)
I read the paperwork being processed.
Waiting continues....

Will shore up the backline, missed Murphy ,helping Moore immensely. Houston is no one trick Pony either. Very versatile. He and Perryman, fantastic inclusions. Hurry up..sign ,seal. deliver!
