Common Sense Trading

Post by hoggy »

If Heath Scotland wants to leave then why wouldn't we have traded him for at least a draft pick instead of getting nothing for him now if he leaves and is picked up in the pre-season? any thoughts?

ps. did the selectors just take a week off and forget about the deadline?

Good question.
There can be only be 2 anwers as far as I can see.

1. They have convinced Heath he is a required player and he would therefore prefer to stay.

2. A big F/up.

I hope it is the first.

I think the reality is that Uncle Buck stuffed up big time yesterday by assuming that he could just buy an extra 15 minutes after the deadline, to stitch up the Misiti deal.
