Was amused by the new challenge to the St. Kilda Board. It was cited that the Can't Believe it's Not Butterss Administration "had their chance to turn it around."
There've only been in power a year. The Blight-fiasco aside, considering all the overpaid talent the Saints have drawn - Black, Crapuano, Gehrig, Voss, Hamill, etc. as well as the young Draftees - it seems the Administration's done everything requested of them to put a competitive unit on the field.
Even the appointment of Grant Thomas as Senior Coach - despite his lack of credentials - is more because no self-respecting Coach or Apprentice would want to head-up St. Kilda. If they can sack Blight mid-Season a third of the way through a million dollar contract, nobody's safe.
So, not even a year later, with all the players they've drawn, the Administration is already under fire and being destabilized by outside influences.
I'm glad that Collingwood's Administration and trade-practices, (the latter considering St. Kilda will have to mortgage Moorabbin to continue paying all of Ron Joseph's clients) is far more stable than that.
