Where was the banner vs Melb ??

Post by Two_Pies »

Hi Guys

Great work all year win or lose loud and proud !! Just a quick question why was there no banner last Monday? Was it the threat of lightning? I assume it was a direction from ground management as there were no banners.

Keep up the fantastic work. :D

Yeah, the blokes on the radio said that neither team did because of the poor conditions on the day.

Peter was a question posed just after the weekend. Was just interested to know if the Ground Staff had warned the C/S off raising the banner due to the lightning risk... just takes a while to get an answer sometimes.

The C/S put in a fair few hours getting the banners done and to have the MCC say they can't put them up is a kick in the guts.

I dont think man hours put into making a team banner are anything to do with the potential risk of having a group of people struck by lightning. Its in the MCG ground staffs best interests not to have their patrons struck by lightning. After all the beams used to hold the banner up would be a great way to harness lightning lol
Tradition? Pfft you call merging with Fitzroy and cheatin to 3 flags Tradition? Winning 4 flags in a row is history, which makes tradition!
